The first thing Zim felt as he opened his eyes was a wonderfully warm feeling all around him. Even as a smeet, he had never felt so warm and comforted, having been short all his life. He had never felt anything that was even close, the feeling filling him inside and out. Warm arms were wrapped around him, holding him protectivly in an unconsious embrace.
Crimson eyes opened and was met by Dib's chest and neck, arched slightly as Zim rested his head under Dib's chin. The warm flesh, colder than his usual body temperture but, felt like solid fire against his cold body.
He reluctantly pulled away from the warmth, only to be met by slightly chilled air. Living on Irk he had no idea about seasons, so he naturally had no idea that winter was approaching. True he had noticed that the leaves had been changing color but he hadn't known what if meant. Looking at the floor he saw their clothes, luckily dried despite their rumpled condition.
Slipping quietly out of Dib's embrace, he dropped to the floor and looked at the ruined shirt. Dib would probably get mad at him. Just as he was about to pull on his pants, a small groan behind him made him turn his head. What he saw sent a shiver down his spine and a blush to his cheeks.
Sitting up, Dib's hair was ruffled, ebony hair strewn about messily, the pick that stuck up leaning over to one side. Golden eyes looked around blurrily, glazed with tiredness. Without shirt or pants, cream skin shone out against the dirty blankets as if it was practically glowing. Along Dib's arms and wrists there were bruises, the bracelet hanging off his wrist innocently. The bruises on his arms, if anything, made his skin even more lovely, his muscles showing that they could be used if need be. On his face, the only damage was the small cut near one side of his mouth, dried blood edging it. To Zim, Dib looked truly beautiful.
As soon as the thought entered Zim's head, it was like it was stuck. He couldn't get the moment out of his mind, the picture of Dib sitting there was etched into his mind. He almost didn't hear as Dib roughly choked out. "What 'appened?"
ZIm blinked, tearing his gaze away. "Erm... the gang, you beat them and...well I brought you here."
Zim glanced back to see Dib's reaction and drew back slightly as Dib's face was only inches from his own, golden eyes wide with worry. His face flushed deeper and he fell back, Dib looming over him in a very suggesting position. "Wh-what?" he asked nervously, realizing just how close they were and realizing just how little clothing separated them.
Dib took his hand, raising it so Zim could see. Zim blinked. The pieces of Dib's ruined shirt were covered with dried blood. He grimaced. Dib was probably mad at him because he had wrecked the shirt. He opened his mouth to apologize when Dib put his fingers to Zim's lips.
"How did you get hurt?"
Zim's eyes widened and he pulled the hand away, flushing at the attention. “The rain.” He said shortly. “It began to rain yesterday.”
Soft hands closed around his wrists and pulled him close. Slowly the hands began to unwrap the strips of shirt from around his arms. As they were stripped away, he winced horribly. His skin had been eroded away to an almost critical state. Luckily, being an Irken, his healing rate was faster than a human’s. Already new skin was forming over the singed original.
As the last of the shirt was peeled off him, he realized just how close they were. Nothing separated them other than their boxers…. And this time they were both conscious. Dib’s golden eyes stared into his own crimson orbs, his hands tracing gentle patterns across his injured skin. Tingles ran up his spine, sending electricity through him in waves of pleasure.
Dib took in everything from his flushed face, to the way his eyes looked at him, glazed slightly. He let himself a small smirk. Zim had no idea how he looked right then, denial tracing his very being, the usual arrogence still there, just begging to be punished.
Zim blinked at the look in Dib's eyes but didn't have time to say anything before soft lips closed in around his own, a soft tongue snaking it's way into his mouth. He moaned into Dib's mouth, bringing his hands around Dib's back to clutch at his skin.
Hands trailed over his arms, then around to his back, tracing small patterns all over his back, pressing slightly. They snaked down to the small of his back, stroking gently in the small crook there. Zim gasped as Dib's mouth left his, hot breath appearing suddenly on his throat.
Skin pressed against skin, sending warm and cold spikes through Zim's body in intervals. Heat raced through Zim's veins, sending his blood boiling. His anteanna twitched slightly, falling up and over his back in two delicate waves.
Suddenly Dib drew away, a small smirk on his face.
Zim growled, nearly leaping on him. This was the second time he had left him unsatisfied. His crimson eyes blazed in anger but in the end he just sagged slightly and turned, pulling on his pants. Behind him he could hear Dib doing the same. Then he blinked, realizing he had nothing to put over his bare chest. The shirt he had worn was torn to shreds and could be of no use.
He started as soft fabric fell over his shoulders. Zim looked over to see Dib's signature jacket laid over his shoulders. Looking up at Dib with questioning eyes, he gently slipped it on, pulling it together in front so that it hid his unnaturally-bare chest.
"Come on."
Zim nodded, getting up and wincing. He felt sore all over. But it could have been worse. If Dib hadn't shown up... He trembled slightly at the sheer thought. He didn't want to know what would have happened. Needless to say, it wouldn't have ended well.
Movement caught Zim's eyes and he looked over to see Dib standing up. Following suit, he brushed some imaginary dust off Dib's coat and followed him. He stepped back slightly as Dib opened the door, then, to his surprise, Dib stepped aside and made a small bow, gesturing for him to go first.
He blushed. He had done enough research of the planet to know what he was doing. Head bowed, he quickly walked out the door, waiting as Dib walked through himself.
A sudden though occured to him. Thinking of reseach, he remembered the wet things that had filled his eyes the day before. As Dib came up beside him he turned to him. "Dib-human? .." He asked softly. "yesterday... while those humans were... touching me. Something strange happened."
Dib looked at him worriedly. "What?" He asked, concern in his eyes. "What happened?"
Zim fidgeted slightly. "Well... these things came... like raindrops... only they were coming from my eyes instead of the sky."
Dib's face realaxed into one of surprised realization. "Zim... the only things those could be are tears.... but I didn't know aliens cried. Since your alergic to water... I would think that it would burn."
Zim nodded. "I thought that as well. And it did burn... only it burned... inside." He put a hand on his chest, trying to make him understand.
Dib smiled slightly. "You cried ,Zim, you cried. People cry when they are afraid, or sad, or happy." He laughed slightly. "To think, that aleins are capable of such things."
A sudden spark of anger raced through Zim. "Well you know, to me, it is you that is the alien. As well as all the rest of your filthy planter!" He poked his chest hard. "To me, I am alone in your 'alien' world. With no others like me. Have you ever thought about that Dib-human?"
Dib looked surprised, taking Zim's hand from his chest. "Zim..." He couldn't find the words. He had never looked at it that way. All this time, he had been calling him an alien again and again. He had never once wondered if Zim saw him as an alien.
Zim pulled his hand away and looked away. "It's nothing, forget I even said that, I didnt' mean it." He mentally battered himself for letting the emotional admitance slip out.
Zim saw Dib looking at him, not resisting as Dib finally leaned foreword to place a quick kiss on his lips. "Your not alone Zim." Dib said softly. "Not anymore." A warm hand slipped into his own and he held it tightly. For once the Dib-human was right. He wasn't alone..... not anymore.
