Lincoln and Lucy's bodies entwined with one another as they expressed their desperate need to make amends for the hurt they had caused. Each time their hips would press against one another and meet was like unspoken words of affirmation towards one another.
“I love you.”
“I'm sorry.”
“I never want to hurt you again.”
“I need you.”
Their hands sought one another, fingers lacing together, clasping. Their lips pressed to one another, tongues dancing together, sliding over each other in their intimate caress. Until Lucy hooked her legs around Lincoln's hips, her feet crossing, and she held him so very close, preventing him from pulling back or out. Not that Lincoln ever thought of pulling out.
They finished like that, in Lucy's bed. Together, holding one another as close as possible, breath ragged, emotions raw, bodies spent. Even when it was over, they kissed one another, they held one another, and refused to part. They spent several minutes like that, silently, their bodies still joined. Lincoln on top of Lucy, keeping his essence inside of her, their fingers still laced with one another. Their eyes open, his staring back into hers. Lucy in her passion had even moved her bangs aside so her beloved could see her soul.
Until finally, they changed position for comfort. Lincoln laying back, and Lucy turning so she was laying over him. He exited her body, having softened, and she brought her head to his chest, kissing his pecs as she did. Before she brought her gaze up to look at him, and idly traced her finger over his heart.
Lincoln looked back to her, a soft bashful smile on his lips, his chipped tooth visible as he took her in with red-cheeked features.
Lucy returned his smile with her own, a joyous one for those who understood the Goth, like Lincoln did.
Lincoln brought his hand up, and ran his fingers through his sister's hair. It was one of his favorite things to do, to feel her like this, to express his affection like this. Lucy almost moved like a cat, in the way she pressed her head against his touch, tilting into his palm, turning and kissing it with her lips.
Lincoln broke the silence after so long, “I never want to know what that's like again. You not being in my life. It hurt so much Lucy. It scared me.”
Lucy seemed as if she wanted to reassure her lover, but also basked in a new sense of power she held. She realized she really did have a hold over her brother's sensitive heart, “Lincoln, I will always be in your life. I will always be close to you. I just don't want you to neglect me my love.”
She kissed the tip of his chin as if to punctuate her statement, looking back at her brother with a loving gaze, even as a dark part of her smiled in this new knowledge.
Lincoln still looked hurt, even after everything they'd done, a look of guilt on his features as his eyes sought hers, “I don't want to neglect you Luce. I never want to do that. You're everything to me, you've always been there for me, and I went and just....”
Lucy was crawling over him again, leaning up over her brother, her long hair falling down around her face, over his own as she locked eyed with him again. She spoke in a reassuring manner, even with the knowledge she now possessed, knowing the hold she had over him, she never wanted to hurt him.
“Shhh, Lincoln, it's okay. I know beloved, I know.” She leaned down and kissed his lips, once, then twice, before pulling back. “We know this is going to be difficult, but Lincoln that's why we have to be even more diligent with our relationship. We know what we're up against.”
Lincoln gave a slow nod as he seemed to accept what his sister was saying. The reality of having to sneak around and hide their relationship, not being able to tell anyone. The interference of others in their lives, it really was beginning to sink in.
Lincoln took a deep breath and brought his hand up to his forehead as it started to overwhelm him, “Lucy, how are we going to make this work? Hiding all the time, trying not to get discovered, the future, all of it?”
Lucy reached up and took hold of her brother's hand, clasping it between both of her own as she brought it down in front of her. She leaned forward and kissed the tips of his knuckles in an affectionate manner, “By being together Lincoln, in all things. Reminding each other how in love we are and that we know this is right. This has always been right, and always how it was meant to be.”
Lincoln looked back at her with a weak smile, still worried, still anxious.
Lucy went on, “I know...you have to be friends with Ronnie Anne again, I accept that. But you also need to make sure no one else will come before me Lincoln. I should be the center of your life, just as you are the center of mine.”
Lincoln nodded once more as he took her words in. He knew she was right, if they were going to be together, no one else could come before her for him, he sighed as he responded, “I'll make sure of that I promise. I don't want any more misunderstandings Luce. I just don't know what we're going to do in the future, what our plans are.”
Lucy spoke up then, deciding to share what some of her vision of the future was, “My plan, is to come live with you when I finish High School.”
Lincoln looked a little surprised, but gave a slow nod, it made sense of course if they wanted to be together, but it did mean things would have to change on his end, “I won't be finished with college yet.. I'll be a senior, that might make things a little difficult.”
Lucy nodded slowly in reply, and went back to idly tracing her finger over his heart again, “I know beloved, that's why we have to plan now. I want us to be together Lincoln, and I know I have two more years before I can be with you, but that means you have to prepare the way for me.”
Lincoln leaned back, and stared up at the ceiling again. His original plans, go to college with Clyde, dorm with him, and get an apartment with him after they both graduated were now being thrown into doubt and chaos.
But he also knew, if he wanted to be free with Lucy, to be alone with her and sleep in the same bed as her every night without worrying about being caught, they would need their own place. His whole life trajectory was suddenly up in the air.
Then Lucy said something that floored him further.
“I also want Children Lincoln.”
Lincoln didn't know what he was supposed to feel hearing that. Shocked was the keyword, shocked, warm, and scared all at once. Warm, because Lincoln knew in his heart, he wanted to have a family one day as well. Warm because Lucy loved him enough to want a family with him. Shocked because she was bringing this up now of all times, and scared because of what that would mean for the two of them.
Lucy continued, looking at him again, “Don't you want them too beloved?”
Lincoln swallowed as he looked back at his sister's gaze, the one that seemed to continue to pierce right into his soul, “I do Lucy, one day. I uh, well I know we haven't been the safest with our activities...um, I've been kinda meaning to ask you about that as well and..”
Lucy realized what her brother was stumbling around, and it made her grin, watching how embarrassed he was, how he was trying to ask her such a sensitive question AFTER he'd dumped enough genetic material in her to knock up a fertilization clinic. Boys could be so dumb. She decided to bail him out.
“Lincoln, I'm on the pill, don't worry. Mom makes all of us start taking it the moment we turn 13, mostly for the health benefits.” She saw the look of relief wash over his face, and decided she wanted to mess with him a little more again anyway.
Slowly she leaned up over him, kissing his neck, up to his ear, her hair sliding over his bare skin, before she whispered to him, “So you keep pumping all that baby-batter into your little sister's womb big brother.”
Lincoln turned bright red, and ended up choking on air, coughing after those words left Lucy's lips. His cock also sprung up to attention within moments. Lucy's hand slid down his body, her fingers wrapping around it as she watched him fight to try and breathe again.
She grinned at him, giving a few slow lazy strokes to his tool, “Remember to breathe Lincoln. You can't die on me yet, not when we have so many things we still need to do..”
Lincoln eventually managed to stop coughing, and looked back at his sister, convinced she wasn't human. She was some sex demon, a succubus that had only been pretending to be his little sister for the last 16 years. That was the only explanation he had for how dirty minded she could be, and the sheer hold she had over him.
As turned on as he was becoming, he did managed to fight past it, to keep talking on their current subject, “Okay...so, we both want children... mmm, Lucy come on, that isn't fair, we're trying to talk serious now..”
Lucy giggled, and slowly released her grip on his manhood, but did make a point to maneuver herself so she was straddling him again. Slowly easing herself back until he was caught between her thighs once more. She fixed her older brother with a Cheshire smile, “I'm sorry Lincoln, am I distracting you?”
Lincoln groaned, but didn't fight. He felt really good right now, wedged in the soft confines of her flesh, at her most intimate area, but he could still focus on their conversation, “Yes...but as I was trying to say Luce, aren't you afraid of our children being born... different?”
Lucy smiled and shook her head, “No, I'm not afraid at all, because I know we'll love them no matter how they turn out. Also, you could ask Lisa yourself, one generation of inbreeding isn't going to be enough to give them flipper hands Lincoln. We'll just have to make sure our children don't follow in our footsteps..”
Lincoln gave an audible sigh as the realization of what they were discussing was hitting home with him now. He was talking about kids, having kids with his little sister. The idea one day they would be living together, and decide they wanted a child. He was actually discussing this.
“How are we even going to make that work with the rest of the family Luce?” He asked
Lucy only continued to smile and began to slide her slickened, moist, crotch back down against her brother's shaft, teasing him. She caused a groan to leave his lips as she replied, “Lincoln you're getting ahead of yourself. I have a few ideas, but don't worry about it right now. What matters is we're on the same page...we both want a child one day. That's all that matters my beloved.”
Lincoln was slowly losing the fight to his lust, little by little, moment after moment. His hands slid down Lucy's hips, up over her ass, squeezing it tight enough her flesh welled up between his fingers, as he began to maneuver his own hips, sliding until the tip of his length came into contact with that wet warm opening waiting for him... “Mmmnn, okay... You know I'd take responsibility though, no matter what right?” He said.
Lucy slid her body sensuously over her older brother's, her soft heavy breasts sliding over his chest as she helped him, raising her hips up until he was right where she wanted him to be...”I know Lincoln, I know my beloved. It's one of the many reasons I love you...Now..”
And then she slammed her hips down, swallowing his cock up entirely within herself and gasped, arching her back in pleasure. Lincoln arched up, gasping as well, as Lucy's words echoed in his mind..
“Fuck me.”
Section Break
Lincoln settled back into his swivel chair as he put on his wireless headset and fired up his gaming laptop. While he wished he had a committed gaming PC, he just couldn’t justify it being a college student who needed to take a laptop with him everywhere, and with his budget. The gaming laptop was a nice compromise, a combination of his own wages and birthday money had allowed him to afford it, and it was pretty decent too.
Enough at least he knew it would keep him in good gaming for the next few years and let him get his papers for classes done.
Right now, his current gaming obsession was a team based first person shooter known as “Fire Support”. Fire Support was different from the typical realistic military shooters like “Call of War” that came out yearly. Instead, Fire Support presented a colorful comic book world. Rather than random Soldiers, Fire Support presented selectable ‘Heroes’ who all had their own unique personalities and special abilities. The heroes were broken into three distinct classes that had different roles in a game. Damage dealers whose role was self-explanatory, Tanks who protected their allies, and Support who healed their teammates and debilitated their opponents. These different team make ups were what made the game so dynamic and different from round to round.
Lincoln was lucky enough Clyde was also a big fan of the game, and the two of them would often team up together on their free nights, playing for hours while neglecting sleep, eating, and school work.
But there was another reason Lincoln was excited tonight, one he didn’t want to consciously admit to himself. Well, he admitted it partially, if not fully. Ronnie Anne was joining them tonight. The tomboy skater girl was also a gamer girl and Lincoln had discovered she had just as much a love for the game as he did.
Ronnie Anne had a competitive nature and often bucked the stereotypes of what a ‘girl gamer’ was supposed to be. This would be the first time in years Lincoln and her had played a game together. As strange as it may have seemed to others, it was an activity that bonded the two so closely. They had once skipped a school dance together to go to an arcade having a two for one game night instead. For Lincoln and Ronnie Anne, playing games together was more than just something that was a mutual hobby.
It was an affirmation of their affection when they were a couple.
Whether they were competing with one another, playing cooperatively, taking turns on a difficult single player game, or just exploring a virtual world together, it was the fact they did it all, together, that made it special.
In retrospect, Lincoln understood that over half of his male gaming friends online would like to beat the ever-loving crap out of him for breaking up with a girl like Ronnie Anne in the first place. It was enough she was beautiful, cool as hell, affectionate, and understanding. But she played videogames too?! Not just phone games, but actual real triple A titles!?
They didn’t understand though. They hadn’t seen what Lincoln had seen, and he just…At the time looking back, he just knew she’d be better off without him holding her back. With out him being the voice so far away, an obligation that was preventing her from finding something better.
And a very small voice in the back of his head asked, ‘But did she find something better Lincoln?’
That was why he felt real trepidation as he prepared to log into the chat server Clyde and Ronnie Anne were already waiting for him in.
This was more than just about playing games with an old friend. This was about re-engaging in a shared passion with someone he had once loved so very deeply. A place where they were true equals on the field. It was a reaffirmation of an affection and love that had spanned years, from when they were children, to now as young adults.
When Lincoln logged into the popular gamer chat messenger system “Pandoria” he saw Two gamertags he was already quite familiar with in a shared call together.
CatDaddy and 2Spicy4U.
His two best friends growing up. The two people he cared about as much (if not more in some cases) than his own family. His longest running childhood friend, the man he considered his brother in all ways, and the Girl who had owned his heart longer than any other.
He took a deep breath, and tapped the 'join call' button.
The text read ManwithPlan has joined the call.
He could hear the tail end of Clyde and Ronnie laughing at something as the ding noise of him joining their call played.
It was Clyde who spoke to him first, the deep baritone of his friend resounding in his typical jovial manner, “Buddy! Sup! We've been waiting for you!”
And then he heard the other voice, that husky feminine Latin girl whose voice, even when teasing him always sent shivers down his spine over the years, “Bout time Lame-o! Clyde and I have been catching up, but you know we're here to make some losers rage quit and not just reminiscence!”
Lincoln laughed audibly over the call, Ronnie had never changed. She was horrible when it came to competition, she loved to trash talk and rub her victories in the face of others. She just fully embraced the harsh uncaring nature of the gaming world that cared about skill more than anything else.
“Sorry guys, you know how it is at my place..” he replied.
Ronnie Anne responded, “Yeah, we get it. You probably had to escape the clutches of your co-dependent sisters.”
Lincoln scoffed, “Hey, that's not fair!” Feeling a little defensive.
Clyde spoke up, “No, Buddy, you know she has a point.” He countered.
Lincoln gave a playful sigh, “Yeah, I know you two are right, but what am I supposed to do at this point?” He asked as if it were an honest question.
Ronnie sounded like she was smirking, “Learn to say no?”
Only for Clyde to laugh in reply, “Lincoln Loud? Say No to any of his sisters? You've met him right?”
Lincoln frowned to himself. At the moment he did not want to think about one particular sister he hadn't been saying No to about anything, “Come on you two, it's not that bad. Yeah they can be a little annoying and demanding of my time, but that's what family does!”
Ronnie Anne seemed like she wasn't done though, “Lincoln, the only area your sisters seemed to give you any latitude in, was when it came to me. But I'm betting during our estrangement they had you lock stock and barrel.”
Clyde piped in as if to confirm Ronnie's words, “Oh you have no idea. You know Lynn made him take her to Prom?”
Ronnie Anne practically cackled after hearing that, “Oh come on now Lame-O! That's two of your own sisters who made you drag them to prom! I remember when Leni had you do it, I mean, I sort of get it in Leni's case. She's always been too sweet and...” She trailed off..not wanting to say the rest of her sentence.
Lincoln responded matter of factly as if to say what Ronnie was thinking was okay, “Air-headed, the word you're looking for is Air-headed.”
Clyde and Ronnie both laughed, and Ronnie responded, “Yeah well, you know that doesn't bother me. Bobby is just as air-headed as she is and he's my big bro. Oh god, now I'm wondering if that's why Lori married him. She was already used to Leni growing up!”
They all laughed again, and Lincoln spoke up, “It's a well known fact your brother was the biggest Himbo in Royal Woods until your family moved. You know I love your brother though, he's a great guy and he treats Lori right, even if his common sense isn't the greatest. Leni's like him, her heart has always been in the right place. Yeah it was a little weird being her 13 year old Prom Date, but her friends just thought it was cute.”
Lincoln smiled as he remembered taking Leni to Prom. She had been so overjoyed at him doing so, even though he was five years younger than she was. In retrospect he wondered if it was less innocent than he thought.
It was Clyde's turn to add something, “As opposed to kinda weird when you did it with Lynn.”
Lincoln breathed out awkwardly, he knew far more than he wanted to when it came to Leni and Lynn now, but didn't want to reveal anything to his two best friends, in particular Ronnie Anne.
“It wasn't that weird. She didn't have anyone ask her, and she didn't want to go by herself, and all her teammates had dates. They all knew me anyway from covering all their games for the Journal. I wasn't about to leave my sister high and dry because she intimidates guys.”
Ronnie Anne spoke up in Lynn's defense, “Nobody asked the ultra intense, frightening, competitive Lynn Loud out to the Prom? Color me shocked.”
Lincoln responded as if he needed to explain things, “Hey Ronnie Anne! That's mean, it's not her fault guys are scared of her! She's a pretty girl, she's just a lot for them to handle!”
Lincoln suddenly felt a strange weird sensation come over him as he came to his sister Lynn's defense. He had called her pretty, and then started imagining her. Her long brunette hair, mischievous eyes, toned stomach, tight rear end... the freckles on her shoulders and.... Holy shit, what the hell was wrong with him!?
Luckily, Ronnie Anne interrupted that train of thought he did not want to go down..
“Relax Lame-o, trust me.. I know from experience. It's rare to find a guy whose not intimidated by a girl like your sister...My Prom, I ended up going stag with Sid anyway.”
Lincoln replied somewhat somberly, “I ended up skipping Prom in the end. Two was enough for me. Clyde here had a date of course, and Lucy offered to go with me since Haiku was going, but I decided I didn't want my legacy in the Royal Woods academic system to be the guy who took three sisters to Prom. Two was enough.”
There was a pause before Clyde added playfully “I hear that..”
Ronnie's voice cut through, “Yeah, imagine that... if only you had someone who would have been willing to go with you. Then maybe you and her would have had fun Prom memories to think back on together...”
The unspoken meaning behind those words was easy to read for both Lincoln and Clyde. Clyde just found it funny, as far as he was concerned, he could watch this all night. Being happy and secure in his relationship, he wanted nothing more than the same for his best friend. If he could play wingman and bring these two closer together, he would.
As for Lincoln, it conjured warm nostalgic feelings in him, as well as guilt, complex guilt for both having broken up with Ronnie Anne, and for the fact he was seeing Lucy right now. It pained him as he realized it was a revelation that would both most likely shock and disgust them. Would they even be willing to keep talking to him, let alone game with him if they knew what he was doing with Lucy?
Ronnie Anne continued, “Anyway, how about the rest of your sisters? They get boyfriends yet Big Bro? You having to keep any boys in line? I've seen the pictures of Spooky and even I can tell she's hot. I bet she's got those boys lined up after her.”
More guilt and uneasiness entwined it's way over Lincoln's heart, twisting like thorns in his flesh as he prepared himself to lie to two people he trusted so much... “N-not that I'm aware of. Lucy hasn't really expressed interest in anyone at school.” Just a lie of omission there. She expressed interest in one boy a whole lot, just no one at school.
Clyde butted in, “She seems to mainly concern herself with keeping girls away from Lincoln.”
Lincoln felt a cold wave of panic and fear come over him, “Clyde!”
Ronnie Anne was laughing, “Aww, little sis is protective of big bro! Though from what I heard of your last girlfriend it sounds like she has the right idea.”
Lincoln did his best to play that off with a nervous laugh, as he continued, “Well, okay yeah, Lucy might be acting a little protective of me, but I don't want to get into Mel right now.”
Ronnie interjected, “You're going to tell me all about her and you soon Lame-o, Lori and Clyde already told me a little bit about it, but I want to know what the hell you were thinking with that girl...”
Lincoln groaned but then continued, “Anyway, I don't think Lola or Lana are seeing anybody, and I don't have to worry about them... You know those two will have to vet and approve of any guy the other dates.”
“Yeah that makes sense.” Ronnie said knowing the twins and how close they were. Of course they would be the most selective when it came to who the other decided to date.
Lincoln went on, “And Lisa has said romance will interfere with her studies and she'll find herself a boyfriend when her best friend Darcy decides she wants one. As for Lily, I know she has a boy at school she likes, they play Cave Craft together. But you know, they're 9.”
Suddenly Ronnie Anne's voice broke in, going from her typical tough, sardonic quality to a high pitched, sweet tone, “Awwww! That's so cute! Lincoln, we played Cave Craft together for years! Oh you and I should play with her some time! Do you think she would like that?”
Lincoln was struck suddenly by the memories of all the games Ronnie and He had shared over the years, Cave Craft, a low graphics open sandbox style game was beloved by people of all ages over the world. It could run on any computer or system easily, and allowed for building grand structures like playing with blocks, or exploring it's world with friends. Lincoln had so many pleasant memories involving Ronnie Anne with the game.
Lincoln found himself blushing as he responded, “Yeah...I think, I think she'd like that a lot Ronnie Anne. I'll ask her tomorrow.” He felt a warm feeling well up inside of him again. For some reason he already knew Lily's response. Lily would think it was the coolest thing in the world. He didn't even need to ask her. He already knew the answer.
Clyde cleared his throat, “Not to interrupt you two, and by the way yeah, you should both play with Lils, I think she'd love that. But if we're talkin games now, we should talk about the one we're all sitting in the lobby of at the moment.”
Ronnie was the first to respond after the mutual warm feelings between her and Lincoln had been brought up, she sounded slightly embarrassed “Oh yeah! Right! Well, let's talk Hero selection. Lame-o already let me know you play Tank, but what Tank do you like to play most Clyde?”
Clyde responded as if it should be obvious, “Harambe.”
Ronnie Anne paused, before she spoke up, an obvious smirk in her voice, “Wait a minute Clyde. You're telling me, your favorite Tank is the talking Gorilla. Don't you think that's a little....” she trailed off.
Clyde spoke up defensively, even as he heard Ronnie laughing, “Hey! Hey! Harambe is a super intelligent scientist Gorilla thank you very much! Besides I like him because talking, super intelligent apes are a comic book staple!”
Lincoln spoke up in his friends defense, “He's right! Harambe is an obvious homage to all the Gorillas in comic books!”
Ronnie Anne groaned as she playfully teased both of them, “Right, right, forgot, I'm playing with the two biggest comic book dorks in the mid-west. You two need to get a room!”
Lincoln smirked as he added, “That's damn right!”
Clyde interjected, “Clinoln Mcloud!” Rattling off their duo buddy name the two had invented when they were 8.
Ronnie Anne groaned yet again, “God you two, if I didn't already know you were both slaves to a good pair of tits I'd suggest you get married like Clyde's Dads did.”
Lincoln still laughing softly replied, “Don't be Jealous of our guy love Ronnie Anne. It's a beautiful thing, I bet I could say the same thing about you and Sid.”
Ronnie giggled softly and sighed, “Trust me, if I was into eating carpet, I'd be married to Sid right now. But as it is, I guess I like dick too much.”
Lincoln continued, “You don't really have room to talk about horrible stereotypes anyway, isn't your favorite character El Muerte? The literal undead Catholic Mariachi who speaks half his lines in Spanish?”
It was Ronnie's turn to get defensive, “Hey! He's got great DPS and his abilities are powerful! In a one v one he's always favored!”
Clyde chuckled, but came to Ronnie's defense surprisingly, “Don't worry Ronnie Anne, Lincoln can't say anything either. His favorite character is Old Soldier.”
Lincoln quickly replied, “Wait! That's not true, I play Robo-Buddha the most! He's my favorite character!”
But Clyde wasn't undeterred, he continued, “No, Robo-Buddha is your BEST character Lincoln. You're just better with him than you are with anyone else. But I know, Old Soldier is your FAVORITE character. You have the most skins for him, despite him being only your number 2 most played. Come on now Linc, your favorite character is literally an old white man with a gun.”
All three of them broke into laughter then for a long stretch. Lincoln was almost crying as he finally was able to respond, “Fuck you guys!” He said in between laughs, “He reminds me of my Grandpa!”
After that, the three ended up jumping into some games together and found they had a natural synergy that flowed between them. With Lincoln calling plays, living up to his screen name and providing support, Clyde protecting both, and Ronnie Anne gunning everything down that moved, they found themselves climbing to victory after victory. Even the games they lost were close and often earned the grudging respect of their opponents.
They played together for hours, chatting in between rounds, catching up, making jokes, talking about various things and just enjoying themselves. Lincoln felt so at peace, so relaxed and at one with himself. All of his troubles and worries melted away for the time he spent logged into the game with two of the most important people who had shaped his childhood and teen years.
Eventually as the night wore on, it came to an end, starting with Ronnie Anne.
“Sorry guys, this was total amazeballs, but I promised Lori and Bobby I'd watch Marco and Lina for them in the morning. Lori's got an appointment with her Obstetrician. So I gotta go. We better do this again.”
Clyde responded, “Yeah we better, we went up three ranks during all of that!”
Lincoln smiled as he spoke, “Oh heck yeah! This was great. Alright Ronnie Anne, tell Lori, Bobby, Marco and Lina I love them!”
Ronnie Anne had a playful tone to her voice as she responded, “Come down here and tell them all yourself Lame-o! Night Clyde!” and then she logged off.
Lincoln and Clyde were left alone in the call together. Lincoln sat back in his chair and sighed.
He could practically hear the grin in his best friend's voice, “Lincoln! Buddy!”
Lincoln groaned, “What Clyde?”
Clyde continued, “Linc! Come on my man! Come on! You know exactly what I'm talking about!”
Lincoln swallowed, blushing profusely, “Come on Clyde, you know Ronnie Anne and I are just two old friends reconnecting. That's all it is.”
Clyde laughed, “Lincoln! My man! Did you see the way you two were? It's like you didn't even miss a step! Like three years of not talking to each other never happened!”
Lincoln was rubbing the back of his neck now, “Its... Its not like that Clyde. She's just a friend, nothing more. Besides maybe I'm not even into girls like Ronnie Anne anymore.”
Clyde didn't believe that statement for a moment and spoke plainly, “Lincoln Loud, you have always been a devotee of Tomgirl Supremacy.”
Lincoln scoffed uncomfortably as he retorted feeling defensive with his tastes in women being called out, “Well maybe I've seen what you have, and I prefer big tiddy goth girlfriend now..”
It was the age old debate among male geeks. Which girl was best girl. Playfully done in meme format. The eternal rivalry between Big Tiddy Goth Girl and Tomgirl Supremacy. There were always others, even femmeboi coming in at a distinct third most of the time, but the top two seemed to vacillate between Tomgirls and Gothgirls for what was the superior Geek guy girlfriend.
Clyde rolled his eyes as he began to list off names, “I dunno Linc, let's see there was Ronnie Anne, Polly, Girl Jordan, Stella... all Tomgirls, do I need to keep going? Buddy, I know your type!”
Lincoln became a little defensive then, “Hey, how do you know I wouldn't love a goth girl just as much?!”
Clyde responded trying to soothe his friend, “I bet if the right one came along you would. I'm just saying Linc, you've always had a thing for tough girls who are soft on the inside. Are you going to tell me, you didn't see Ronnie Anna practically saying 'Come down and see me' there? She told you to come visit her!”
Lincoln groaned as he leaned back in his chair, putting his hands to his face, “She told me to come down and see my family. Lori and my nephew and niece.”
Clyde wasn't having any of it though, “Linc, that girl wants you to go down to Great Lakes City and see her. I don't get what the problem is man! You can go visit your family and just chill with her and see what happens!”
How could Lincoln tell him? How could he explain to his best friend that at the moment, he technically had a girlfriend, it just so happened that girlfriend was also his little sister. A little sister he loved so much, one who had picked him out of the dirt and mud and failure and cleaned him off. One who loved him and was so devoted to him. How could he explain how torn and guilty he felt, just talking to Ronnie Anne?
The truth was he couldn't. He couldn't say it at all, which was another demonstration of the difficulty of being with Lucy in the first place. Nobody they knew would accept it, or endorse it. It was something they would have to hide forever.
Lincoln just sighed, his shoulders slumping down as he responded, trying to think of some excuse, “I just don't want to rush to conclusions Clyde. Our break up was pretty bad. I don't want to put either of us through that again, for our family's sake.”
Clyde seemed to be silent for a long moment, before he could hear his friend practically nodding as he replied, “Alright, alright Linc, I got you. But truthfully, I'm going to tell you this as your best friend. You should of never broken up with her in the first place. That was the biggest mistake you ever made.”
Lincoln was taken aback as he heard that response from Clyde. Clyde was calling Lincoln's own judgment into question, something he didn't want to hear. Nobody could tell you the truth you didn't want to hear like your best friend could. Lincoln responded, “Clyde, come on now, you saw the way she was looking at Jason!”
But Clyde continued, “No, what I saw was you getting jealous and worried and doubting yourself. What I saw was my best friend cutting his own knees out from under himself. There was nothing there Lincoln! You were the only one who thought there was!”
Lincoln was getting angry now. The subject of his break up with Ronnie Anne had always been a sore one for him. He had been so convinced he had made the right decision there. There was another guy, one that Ronnie was around more, one she was spending more time with. One he was convinced she had more in common with.
“Clyde, after we broke up, her and Jason got together. I was right, I saw it happening, I just freed her up to do it.” Lincoln was absolutely confident in his logic. Not really, but he lied to himself that he was.
But Clyde wasn't convinced, “Lincoln, you practically forced her into his arms. What else was she going to do when her boyfriend told her to hit bricks?”
Lincoln yelled back, his emotions high, “It wasn't like that Clyde! He was better for her! He lived in Great Lakes! He was near her, had more in common with her!”
Clyde fired right back, “Yeah but is she with him today? Huh? She probably doesn't even remember the dudes name. You got jealous, and insecure, and paranoid, and pushed her away because you were afraid of getting hurt. That's what happened Lincoln. Ronnie Anne loved you like crazy, but you couldn't see it.”
Lincoln felt tears running down his cheeks. Every word Clyde said struck true to his heart, and he knew it. That's why it hurt so much, that's why it made him so angry, and that's why he fired back the way he did, “Fuck you Clyde! Fuck you! You don't know shit! You're lucky Haiku wasn't on my dick before she was on yours!” Lincoln regretted it the moment after he said it, but those words hung in the air between them.
There was a long drawn out pause of silence between the two of them, before Clyde spoke up, “Because I love you, I'm not going to beat your ass next time I see you, and I'm not going to hate you. Don't think I can't either Lincoln, we're not kids anymore, you know I could. But Buddy, as much as I love you, I'm not going to take your shit right now. When you calm down and realize I'm just trying to help you, you get back to me alright?”
Lincoln already felt horrible for saying something so cruel to the person who had been there more for him in his life than any other, “Clyde, wait! I'm sorry! I didn't mean...”
But Clyde interrupted him, “I know Lincoln. I know. But what you said is pretty fucked up, and now I'm pissed off.” Clyde sighed, “Just, call me tomorrow alright Buddy? We'll be cool again then.”
Lincoln frowned, feeling horrible, his head sunk low. He'd just hurt the person who had been in his corner more than anyone else in the world. His best friend of so many years, someone who was just trying to help him.
“Alright Clyde. I'm sorry. I really am.”
Clyde responded, he sounded somewhat indifferent, but also like he was trying to forgive Lincoln, even while angry with him, “I know Buddy, I know. We'll talk again. Just, later.”
Clyde logged off then, leaving Lincoln alone.
He pulled his headset off and put it aside, putting his hand up to the bridge of his nose and rubbing his eyes. This was getting so complicated. So intense. He loved Lucy, he loved his little sister. She had been there for him, she had accepted him, and she had taken care of him.
She had been so much of what a good girlfriend was supposed to be.
But Ronnie Anne had always been one too. Ronnie Anne had been there for him, accepted him and taken care of him, as he'd taken care of her. He knew Clyde was right in retrospect. He had been the one to mess up the relationship they had. It had been a personal failing on his part that continued to eat at him.
But he didn't even know if Ronnie Anne still even liked him. Yeah they were becoming friends again (More like, their friendship had never even ended the way they had been talking with one another) but he didn't think she would possibly want to date him again.
And even if she did, it didn't matter! He was with Lucy! His beautiful, sweet, younger sister. The shadow of his heart. Yes, what they were doing was illegal, and they'd have to hide and lie about it all their lives, but she had been there at his lowest point, and she had always loved him. Always.
He owed it to her. He owed it to Lucy to be true to her, and love her, and take care of her, and be there for her.
He needed to see her again, re-affirm his love, re-affirm his commitment to his little sister. He knew she would hold him, and snuggle close, and they would embrace one another and be together in that moment. In that moment in her arms, he could forget about all his worries and all his troubles, knowing she loved him.
After closing his laptop, he stood up and took his jeans off, changing into a pair of shorts. From there he slowly opened up the door and peeked down into the hall, making sure the coast was clear.
It was dark, no light was cast from any of the rooms his sisters occupied. No light was cast from the bathroom at the end of the hall.
He carefully made his way down the hall, stepping as quiet as he could, feeling like an intruder, a burglar in his own home, until he found himself waiting outside of Lucy's room.
Slowly he reached down and took hold of the knob, she'd been leaving her room unlocked for him as of late, he opened it silently and stepped into the darkness.
He knew she was asleep. She was aware it was going to be his game night, she was aware Ronnie Anne was going to be involved. He knew it bothered her, but she had accepted it, for the sake of their older sister Lori. He knew she probably didn't expect him to visit her like this.
But right now he needed her. He felt like he was adrift in the ocean after tonight, his emotions and feelings were getting more and more confused with time, and he needed her like a piece of flotsam in the storm.
He slipped into her bed, noting the soft shape of her form under her comforter. Soon enough his body made contact with her own, causing her to rouse from her sleep just ever so slightly. A soft murr of confusion coming from her lips, before he was reassuring her, his arms going over her form, pulling her against his body, “Shhh, Luce, it's just me...It's just me.”
Her tired voice finally speaking up, “Lincoln? I didn't expect you...let me wake up my love and I'll greet you properly..”
Lincoln's hand was already slipping through her long hair, caressing softly, reassuring her as he responded, “No, it's okay...Go back to sleep Luce...I just wanted to be here with you. You don't have to wake up for me.”
Lucy made another soft tired noise as she turned in his arms, her head going into his chest, nuzzling as she hugged him tightly, yawning and kissing at him, “Mmm...You're such a good boyfriend Lincoln. I can't wait....I can't wait until I can wake up next to you every day..” she whispered before he felt her slowly beginning to doze once more in his grasp.
His little sister was so perfect, so sweet, everything a guy could want. It broke his heart as he thought about how torn he was earlier, but when he was alone with her, all that mattered was making her happy. All that mattered was knowing she loved him.

Lola and Lana Loud were currently hanging out together in Lola's room, the one that Lana once shared with her before getting her own. While sometimes they did spend time in Lana's room, given the number of exotic pets the grease monkey kept, as well as the various dirty clothes often covered with said grease and oil stains, and various tools and parts from her projects laying about, Lola's much more clean and well kept environment was their preferred hang out.
No matter how old the twins got, they still preferred spending a great deal of time together, even when it was doing nothing at all. Despite how different they were in their interests, they were so very similar at their core, and a perfect mirrored reflection of one another in appearance, they would get separation anxiety if kept apart for too long.
Lola always made sure to include Lana in everything she did. Every party the popular Vice President of the Student council was invited too, she made sure that Lana was invited as well. Every party the auto mechanics, wood shop and machine shop kids threw with Lana, Lola and her friends were also invited.
The result had been something of a surprise at the High School. The Twins being so close and yet having different crowds they tended to hang out with, meant those kids who wouldn't typically associate with one another, were now doing so because of them. Some friendships that might of never happened otherwise, happened because of the twins. Their presence had reduced bullying at school simply due to the cross pollination they caused.
Even now, despite their very different personalities, clothes, and interests, the twins were still one another's favorite person, and Lana was who Lola consulted on all of her plans and schemes.
Today was no different, as they hung out in Lola's room, performing separate activities. Lola was on her phone, watching clips from some auto enthusiasts show about modifying an older car to run on more enhanced parts. She was kicking her feet in the air as she laid tummy down on Lola's bed.
Lola herself was sitting at her desk chair, in front of her laptop, drafting up a speech for Thanksgiving festivities at the school.
As she finished putting the few last touches on it, her mind began to wander about the other various plans she had going in motion.
One of those being a concern involving her brother Lincoln.
She turned in her chair, looking at her twin laying on the bed, focusing on the two long braids coming out of Lana's ballcap before speaking, “Lan, you think Lincoln and Lucy might be acting a little.....weird lately?”
Lana had been pretty happy just watching her program when Lola's question caught her off guard. She pressed pause on the program, turned and looked at her pink clad twin. She pursed her lips in thought for a moment, before she gave a shrug in reply, “I don't know Lols, Lucy's always weird. It's kind of her thing.”
Lola shook her head, frowning, she needed to talk about this with the one person she trusted more than any other, “I mean more weird than normal Lana. She's almost attached to his hip at this point. She goes everywhere with him, and they pretty much spend all their time home together too.”
Once more Lana gave a little shrug, maybe Lola did have a little point, but it wasn't that weird...was it? “Come on Lols, you and I spend all our time together too.”
Lola gave a soft sigh, “You know that's different Lana. We're twins, of course I want you involved in every part of my life. We're two halves of the same whole.”
Lana gave a soft smile in return, “Aww, Lols, I love you two, and you know I want the same! But you know, all of us have our favorite sibling. Lisa and Lily are close, Leni and Lori are, Luan and Luna too. Lincoln was always Lynn and Lucy's favorite, and now Lynn's gone so..”
Lola put her hand to her chin, rubbing it in thought, “Mmm, maybe you're right Lana, maybe. All the same, I think it would be good if Lincoln spent some time away from her. She's been kinda smothering him lately, even you and I give each other space now and then.”
Lana slowly sat up, kicking her feet over the edge of the bed as she thought about it. Yeah, ever since the break up it seemed like Lucy had been extra protective of Lincoln. She really did seem to almost never give him a moment by himself, “I don't think there's any problems with that. What did you have in mind?”
Lola smiled, “Well, you know how Lincoln and Ronnie Anne are talking again? Lori even told me they're playing videogames together now.”
Lana grinned as well hearing that, for some reason the love life of their only brother was a favorite topic for all of the girls, and all of them loved Ronnie Anne, “Oh man! They're already back to gaming together again!?”
Lola laughed, “I know right! So this is what I'm thinking. I'm thinking, Lily needs to go and see her niece and nephew and her big sister Lori. Poor little Lily had the least time with big sister Lori, so it's important she get to keep seeing her when she can, and bonding with her.”
Lana caught on to what Lola was thinking, pointing at her twin, “I see where you're going with this! I think we know just the brother who should take her down there too!”
Lola clasped her hands together in triumph, “Oh sis, you know exactly what I'm thinking! Yes, I think Thanksgiving weekend, Lincoln and Lily should take a trip down to Great Lakes City, just the two of them. Lily can play with her niece and nephew and spend time with Lori, and Lincoln...”
Lana finished her twin's sentence, “Can get his groove on with Ronnie Anne. Put those two physically together again, and I'll bet he'll come back a changed man!”
Lola nodded laughing almost sinisterly, even though she was doing a scheme with the best of intentions, she couldn't help but sound just a little evil when ever she did so. “Exactly, Lincoln will get out of Lucy's embrace for awhile, and who knows, maybe come back with a new relationship involving a girl we finally all approve of.”
Lana returned the nod, “We just need to make sure Lucy doesn't find out. You're right, she has been a little clingy to him lately, she'd probably want to come with him if she learned about it.”
Lola replied, “Which is why we have to do this scheme together, and make sure she doesn't find out. We'll get Mommy and Daddy on board and then Lily. Lincoln will be thanking us by the time he gets back.”

Thanksgiving was only in a couple weeks, and Lynn Loud planned to be home for the weekend to see her family. But that didn't mean she couldn't visit ahead of time. Ann Oaks was only a short drive to Royal Woods, and she hadn't been home yet since the school year had started. What was the harm in her showing up for a surprise weekend visit to see her family?
To see her Stinkin.
She was just going to get a little preview of what life would be like with him soon enough. She didn't have to worry about keeping herself from him anymore. She didn't have to worry about her addiction and trying to break it, because soon, soon he would be with her again all the time.
Soon she'd have him every day if she wanted...and she would make sure of that. When he was a Wolverine Student, they'd spend every day together.
She couldn't wait.
After having thrown some clothes and items in her backpack for a weekend trip, her best friend Margo had agreed to drive out and drop her off. Margo would spend the weekend visiting her family too, and pick her up on Sunday.
That early Friday afternoon, Lynn could hardly contain herself after Margo dropped her off, and she marched herself up the porch steps of her home. First thing would be to make Lincoln take her on in something, maybe a pickup game of basketball, or make him run with her around the block.
She wasn't sure yet, she would know when she saw him. But she needed to get his blood pumping and hers too, make sure her boy wasn't getting to soft in her absence. Then she could talk to Lucy, and let her know she wouldn't have to keep the burden of the promise they made for much longer. No, it would be all of Lynn's own burden soon. A burden she was only so willing to carry.
She was Lynn fucking Loud after all. She never lost.
A/N: The Leni prom is a shout out to Trillhouse and his wonderful Leni/Lincoln two part story “Prom Night Promise” and “More than a Sister”. I recommend them both!
