First Bonding
As he made his decision, Red Alert swore to himself he’d make her first time the best he’d ever done. Swallowing down his trepidation at bonding, he forced himself to relax. Telling himself over-and-over again that it was Spot… His spark mate.. Who’d never hurt him.. Never betray him.. Taking her lips again, their kiss started as a hesitant question. But as both began to relax, the passion returned to their lips.. Their glossas.. They had played the sensor stimulation game for a long time now.. They knew each other’s every seem..
Red slipped his fingers over her intakes, sliding them in and stroking her sensitive bleeder vents. A tremor raced through her chassis as waves of pleasure ran over her networks. He ground his codpiece against hers. Bucking his hips just slightly… Causing her to gasp even as she remained lip locked with him.. Releasing her lips, he nibbled along the back edge of her highly sensitive wings.. Her moans of pleasure causing his spark to leap in excitement, forgetting the fear and pain of the force bonding.. This was Spot.. This was his spark’s mate..
As Red nibbled on her wings, SunSpot enjoyed the tingling electrical signals he was causing. She arched against him, even as she surrounded him with her arms and wrapped her legs around his waist. Bringing him tighter against her.. Feeling the warmth of his smooth Cybertronian metal against her carbide skin… His codpiece against hers.. So close.. She could sense his spark pulsating through his chest armor.. Her spark wanting so desperately to join with it.. Caress it.. Become one with it… She slipped her fingers between some of his armor seems along his back, enjoying his trembles as she stimulated his nets as he was doing to hers.
Primus she felt so right in his arms! As she wrapped her legs tightly around his waist and forced him to slam his codpiece into hers, a shiver of excited anticipation ran through him. His new bonding net responded to his emotions, trying to force his latched codpiece aside.. Extend.. Connect to her nets that were so teasingly close.. Her fingers slipped under his armor, causing impulses of pleasure to race through him.. Sliding his hands down to her aft, Red Alert picked her up. Sliding onto the berth, he settled himself on top of her. Enjoying her moans of excitement as he bucked his hips against hers…
He slid slowly down her air frame. His glossa and fingers dancing along her sensitive air frame as he went. She arched under his attentions.. Spreading her bent legs further as he kissed her latched codpiece.. Teasing the inexperienced femme.. With agonizing slowness, he unlatched her codpiece.. Sliding his fingers slowly into her, he rubbed her bonding circuits.. A wave of self-satisfaction rolled over him as she began to tremble in sync with his fingers as he moved them slightly in-and-out.. True, he was forced to bond because of circumstance. But she was his.. He still controlled her every moan.. her every gasp.. No mech would ever take her like this but him.. No one..
He slipped his glossa into her. Licking her wires.. Forcing her into extending her bonding cables into his mouth… He rolled them lightly with his glossa.. Knowing fully the pleasure that this caused… Her moans turned to almost screams as she reacted to the ecstasy he was causing.. Her fingers locked on his helm as she forced her cables deeper into his mouth.. Desperate for release.. But there was no connections.. No ports.. The teasing increased as he wiggled his fingers which were still deep inside her..
Knowing by experience how ready she was for release.. Red Alert kept her bonding cables locked inside his mouth as he reached down with one of his hands and unlatched his codpiece. Fighting down the sickening nausea that tried to fill his core, he reminded himself over-and-over that it wasn’t a con.. It was Spot.. Beautiful.. Innocent Spot… Finally, he let her cables slide slowly out of his mouth. With agonizing slowness he slid his chassis up hers.. His bared bonding cables getting ever so close to hers. He fixed his optics on her face.. Forcing his terrified spark to calm down.. This wouldn’t be an agonizing bonding.. There would be no searing flame of con sparks ripping his apart..
As Red Alert lifted his face from her exposed circuits and slowly positioned himself to bond with her, SunSpot felt a wave of excitement… Of fear.. Of ecstasy.. Of terror.. Her entire air frame trembled with her conflicting emotions. She prayed that bonding was truly as wonderful as she imagined.. That it wouldn’t hurt when they combined their sparks.. She felt him tremble as well. Looking into his optics, she saw the same conflicting emotions in them as she also felt. After all he’d been through… To still be willing to share his spark with her, so that they wouldn’t chance rape being her first experience.. His selflessness blew her away… “I love you Red Alert.. I love you..” she murmured. Throwing her head back, she arched her hips up.
But the connection didn’t happen. Absolute terror washed over Red’s face and his entire chassis began to tremble. In a blur, he rolled off her and darted to a corner of the room. His optics wild in panic as the memory echo took over his meta. “No.. no more.. please..” he stammered, his optics locking with those he saw in his meta. Those terrible red optics of Starscream.
At first, confusion washed over Spot as the mech drew away from her. “Red?” she asked in surprise. But as he darted to the corner, his voice and optics wide in terror, guilt filled her core. It was too soon. He couldn’t bond. His meta hadn’t recovered. She slid off the berth, her optics full of concern as she approached the panicked mech. “its ok Red, I’m here. I will protect you,” she said as she engaged her cloak and approached him as a ghost again.
“S – Spot? Spot? Please.. Don’t let them..” he stammered in fear. He felt her invisible arms go around him. Her cool spirit force surrounded him with its protection. Slowly, his trembling subsided as he sank into her embrace. But as the fog of the memory echo lifted from his meta, he realized what had happened. He had failed her. He just couldn’t bond. “I – I’m sorry Spot. I’m so sorry,” he sobbed as the tears of his failure streamed down his gray face.
She kissed him on the top of his helm, her own face streaked with tears. She’d face the cons as a virgin now. The terror of what would happen if she was caught bright in her meta. If they caught her, she would carry con spawn as her first. Shaking with her sobs, she clicked off her cloaking; Holding her spark mate tightly to her cockpit.
The door slid open then, the silhouette of Red’s ex looked in on them. In his hands, he carried energon cubes. Obviously, he’d been sent to make sure Spot was fully charged. They’d sent him because he was the only one who believed that she wasn’t a young con. As Spot turned her head and met his blue optics, she saw his wariness, his hesitation. Her face deepened in color as she blushed. She didn’t know how he would react to seeing her holding the mech he loved. The mech that couldn’t bond with her..
“Um, Command ordered me to deliver these,” Inferno stammered. His voice showed his discomfort in the situation. Awkwardly, he stood there staring at the two, uncertain of how he should react. It hurt to see Red Alert being comforted by another. Pained him to his core, but he knew Red wouldn’t allow him to comfort him right now.
Hearing his ex’s voice, Red Alert’s guilt changed to anger in the blink of an optic. Inferno had come here to gloat over his weakness. Over his inability to bond with his new mate! Roughly, he pushed the femme off of him and leapt to his feet, glaring at the fire engine. “I hope you are enjoying this! It’s all your fault! All yours!” he shrieked at him, “Now she faces the cons a virgin. And if they catch her…. They’ll… It’s your fault!” He stormed around the room, slamming his fist against the wall in frustration and rage.
Inferno’s jaw dropped in shock at Red’s words. That’s when he realized that both of them had their codpieces unlatched. Apparently they’d been trying to bond and Red couldn’t bring himself to. The young Guardian blushed in embarrassment at her mate’s blunt words; she lowered her optics, unable to meet those of Inferno’s. With shaking fingers, she awkwardly tried to latch her codpiece.
So she’s still unbonded? Inferno thought as he stepped inside and let the door close behind him. He didn’t want other audios picking up on this. The rumors would abound. They would destroy what little bit of dignity his ex still had. And if she hasn’t bonded with Red, then the gift Primus will give us may end up with the cons. Clenching his hands in anxiety, Inferno knew he couldn’t let that happen. But what could he do? The Autobot command had made their decision; there was little hope in him swaying them now.
“I searched for you, Red. I searched for you until I ran out of funds and the Autobots forced me back to duty,” Inferno told Red. His optics tracked him as he stomped back and forth. Calmly, he set down the energon cubes, fully expecting his enraged ex to attack him.
In the blink of an optic, Red Alert was on him, pounding him as hard as he could with his fists. Inferno protected his face with his hands as he took it, knowing that nothing he said would change Red’s meta. As he hit him, Red screamed his angst, throwing all of his inner torment and shame onto Inferno.
Suddenly, the beating stopped and Red was roughly pushed across the room. The two mechs looked up in shock and saw nothing. The femme had engaged her cloaking, gathered her courage, and had gotten inbetween them. She couldn’t bear to watch Red Alert beat a mech who had done nothing but love him. “Th – This isn’t accomplishing anything Red, um, calm down,” her disembodied voice stammered.
“How dare you! You’re my spark mate and you’re protecting HIM?!?” Red Alert growled in accusation. His optics narrowed in suspicion. Was his Guardian daring to side with his backstabbing ex?!?
“N – No, I’m, um, protecting you from making, um, a mistake,” she stammered her apology. She blinked into view, her optics locked to the ground, her wings trembling in apprehension as she stood up to him.
“A mistake?! A mistake?!? How dare you! He’s nothing but a back stabber. He wanted me gone!” Red Alert screamed as he glared at her.
SunSpot chewed on her lip; she’d never stood up to anyone. But Red was wrong. So wrong…. “When I, uh, downloaded the main frame.. I, uh, saw all the personnel files.. Um, Inferno’s telling the truth,” she gulped down her rising fear. She was telling the truth, but it hurt. Because she loved Red Alert as much as she knew Inferno did. “They considered reprogramming him. He, um, was so distraught,” she mumbled.
Inferno’s optics got wide. He’d never known that his comrades had considered something so extreme. This was some of the highest classified information in the system, not even he could access it. How’d she so easily obtain it – and what else did she know?!? But she was supporting him. Making his case for him to her own mate. Warmth filled his core. The young Guardian was his friend, he had to try and protect her. “They did?” he asked in a soft voice, his optics turning towards her.
“They did?” Red Alert asked, his anger turning to disbelief. To consider reprogramming a mech was the most extreme form of rehabbing a meta glitch. Had Inferno really been that distraught?! He turned his optics to the mech. Realizing that maybe, just maybe, he’d been wrong.
She nodded, shifting uncomfortably under Inferno’s strong gaze. She hadn’t even gotten used to Red’s optics on her, much less anyone else’s. They were seeing her for the pathetic Seeker she really was. Judging her weaknesses…
The fire engine considered what he should say, what he should do. This was his opportunity to get Red’s forgiveness. But he knew the mech too well. If he approached it wrong, Red would accuse him of trying to split him from his Guardian. Then he’d have no shot at even possibly sharing Red in the future. “I know I failed you Red,” he said softly as he lowered his optics to the floor, “and I accept that this Guardian saved you.” He shifted slightly from foot-to-foot, praying that he didn’t screw this up. Lifting his optics, he met those of his ex. “I also accept that she’s your – spark mate. And I will never try to get in between you. But know this, I’ll always love you. I’ll always try to protect you – and her,” he finished. He scanned Red’s face intently, hoping for a flash of love, of forgiveness.
Red Alert studied his ex with an intensity that made Inferno want to slither under the door. Was the mech being honest – or was this just a ploy? Was he going to wait until Spot was away and then try to split them up? Lifting his chin, he glared at Inferno. “Then prove it. Convince Prime not to force her to do this mission. She can’t do it.. She’ll get..” His voice choked. He was unable to speak his fears.
“I tried already. They’re convinced she’s a young con. You heard me, you heard them,” Inferno said with despair in his voice. But he looked at Red, the mech had to bond with the young Guardian first. The gift had to be given to the Autobots, not the cons.
Red Alert sat down heavily on the berth. “But she’s no con, you know that. Convince them! She can’t go,” he said. Tears filled his optics again as he opened his arms to the trembling Seeker. As she came and snuggled into his embrace, he rubbed her golden helm lightly as he pleaded with Inferno.
Inferno dared to approach them, to lay his hand on Red Alert’s arm. Squeezing it like he used to when he was convincing the paranoid mech that he was safe. His optics locked with Red’s. “I’ve tried my hardest to convince them Red. They are determined that she has to prove her allegiance, there is no other way,” he said softly. Briefly, he looked down; her optics fleetingly met his, the fear bright within them. But it was more than the fear of failure; it was the fear of the cons capturing her. And even though he didn’t exactly know what this ‘gift’ was, he knew that she couldn’t go on this mission until she had bonded with Red. Gulping down his nausea at encouraging the mech he loved to bond with another, he knew he had to do it. “Red, she can’t go unless she’s bonded with you. You’ve got to do it,” he said softly, his voice breaking with his emotions.
Red Alert shuddered, his optics going wild for an instant before settling back down. Looking into his ex’s optics, he knew he still loved him, but he loved the Guardian as well. And here was Inferno, telling him that he had to bond with her. But he’d tried, he couldn’t. Grinding his jaw, he felt shame fill him. For he was worthless to her! After all she’d done for him; he couldn’t even bond with her. “I tried..” he said as he lowered his optics in shame, “I just can’t.. The cons took that from me..” he admitted, his voice breaking into a sob.
Inferno looked at him in pity. He was still so broken inside from what he suffered. The fire engine couldn’t stop himself, he encircled both of them with his arms and cried with them.
-----
“What will happen if Red bonds with you? Please tell us Spot,” Inferno said softly. He watched the Guardian as her face showed her internal struggle. In just the last astrohour, he’d come to understand her. She was a shy and timid femme, just an information gatherer. Basically, a true civilian – with no combat experience and no business being in combat – regardless of her physical design.
She gulped down her anxiety, wondering what her grandmother would tell her to do. But it wasn’t like she’d be telling the entire Galaxy her secret. She was telling her mate and the mech that was his mate. “I’ll get pregnant,” she said softly.
“Pregnant?!” both mechs said in unison as their optics widened in disbelief. Mechs weren’t born; they were built and sparked by Vector Sigma.
She nodded slightly. “Guardians aren’t built, we are born. Um, we take mates from one faction or the other, and, um, when we bond a new spark is created,” she explained.
The two mechs stared at her in disbelief. If this was true, then their species would evolve in the blink of an optic. They wouldn’t be trapped into fighting over control of Vector Sigma! Inferno leaned back against the wall, chewing on his lip as he studied the young Guardian. “So if you don’t bond prior to going and you are captured…”
“- then you’ll get impregnated by the con that rapes you,” Red finished for him. Standing up, he began to pace back-and-forth again. This knowledge opened an entirely new can-of-cyberworms for not letting her go.
She nodded sadly, her optics turning back to the ground as she shuddered at the mere thought of knowing she was carrying the products of forced bonding. Could she love such sparklings? Could she train them?
“We can’t let this happen,” Red stated flatly. His optics filled with decision as he glanced from Inferno to Spot and back. Did he really love them both? If he did, then he could stomach what he was about to say. For even with the knowledge that she would carry his sparklings if he bonded with her – he still knew that he couldn’t bring himself to do it right now. He just couldn’t bond. But Inferno could. Biting down on his lip, he knew he had to point that out. After all, Inferno had brought himself to encourage him to bond with her – hadn’t he? So if Inferno could bring himself to do that, then Red could bring himself to do the same. “Spot, would you be willing to bond with Inferno?” he asked her.
Two sets of optics looked up at him in total disbelief; their mouths agape in shock at his bluntness.
“You’re not serious,” Inferno asked him.
“I can’t bond Inferno, and we can’t let her go unless she’s been bonded. We can’t chance the cons being her first,” Red Alert stated matter-of-factly. He’d made his decision. He did still love Inferno, and he also loved her. He’d share them with each other. He could raise their sparkling as his own. He would love it just as if it was his. Looking at her, he put his hands on her trembling shoulders. “Look, I know how hard it was for you to get used to my touch. But can you – will you – bond with him? I just.. can’t bond,” he looked down in shame, “we both know why.”
She chewed her lip as she glanced from Red to Inferno. The fire engine looked as uncomfortable with the idea as she was. But he was attractive. He was strong. He was honest. He was everything a femme would want in a mate. But could she stand to have his hands on her? His bonding cables in her? His very spark within her.. She trembled in anxiety. But could she handle the mere possibility of a con being her first? That was far more terrifying than a gentle Autobot as her first. Hesitantly, she nodded “Um, I – I think so.” Her optics showed her fear plainly to Inferno even as she agreed to do so.
“What about you Inferno?” Red Alert asked as he locked optics with the mech.
Inferno looked uncomfortable as he met his love’s optics. He’d never bonded with a mech or femme that he wasn’t in love with. He’d never wanted too. But the mech he loved - loved this femme. He wanted him to be her first - since he was unable to bond. Inferno felt guilt rise up within him. Red was unable to bond because of what the cons had done to him for so long. And he’d suffered because Inferno had failed him. He owed Red this, owed the femme this for rescuing Red and giving him a second chance. But would Red hold it against them in the future? “Red, you know I’ve never bonded with someone I wasn’t in love with,” he said in a low tone, “But I love you, and I know you love her. I’ll do it, on two conditions.”
Red Alert lifted his chin as he stroked the quiet Seeker’s trembling wing. “And that is?”
“First off, you are involved. I know you can’t actually bond, but you can be involved. We both know how,” he said as he exchanged a knowing glance with the mech.
“And secondly?”
“We raise the sparkling together, the three of us,” Inferno stated. His tone indicating that he would not negotiate on that. “She is your spark mate, I’m your bond mate – we agree on that and work together from now on,” he added, letting them know that they’d have to function as a trio instead of a pair and that he held no ill-feelings towards Spot.
Red Alert chewed on his lip in indecision. He didn’t know if he’d ever be able to bond again, much less taint Inferno’s pure spark by bonding with him again. “I can’t be your bond mate – I can’t bond,” he said with despair in his voice.
Inferno came towards them, his optics warm with love. Daring to touch Red’s helm, he gently caressed it. “Both Spot and I know that Red. Maybe together we’ll one day cycle help you get over it? Maybe one day my sparkling will have a half-sibling to play with,” he said with a hopeful smile. His optics telling Red that he didn’t care if they ever bonded with each other again. He just wanted to be in his life.
Tears streamed down his face as he looked from Spot to Inferno and back again. He had two mechs that loved him, that accepted the damaged goods that he was. They would protect him. Watch his back. So, he nodded slightly, agreeing that they’d live as a trio.
Spot looked from one-to-the-other. Once, she’d wondered if she’d be able to handle the fire engine’s touch, now that time was upon her. Tears filled her optics as she met Inferno’s brilliant blue orbs, she so wanted Red to be her first.. Her only.. But now circumstances trapped her. Trapped her into bonding with another or risk rape being her first. Blushing, she dared meet those optics, saw the same emotions in the strong mech. He wanted the same thing she did – Red Alert. But neither could have him now. Red wanted them to bond. To show him their love for him by doing what he couldn’t - By creating life. With Red Alert’s comforting hands around her waist, she timidly reached up and touched Inferno’s face…
