That evening, Adrien and Kagami were over at Marinette’s for dinner which they had just finished.
“Wow, that may have been the best dinner I’ve ever had,” said Adrien as they sat around the table.
“Thank you, Adrien, I’m glad to hear that you like it,” said Sabine while starting to clear the table.
“Wait, it’s my night to clear the table,” said Marinette.
“You have company over, so don’t worry about it,” said Tom.
“By the way, how have your parents taken the fact that you two are dating Marinette?” he asked while looking over at Adrien and Kagami.
“My dad was mad at first, but when I stood up to him he realized how much I care about them,” said Adrien with a smile.
“I… I haven’t told my mother yet,” said Kagami while fiddling with the hem of her skirt.
“It is tough to come out to a parent,” said Sabine.
“Especially my mother, she’s so traditional that it’s not even funny, but I won’t hesitate to fight for this,” said Kagami.
“Good, and just so you are aware, our door is always open for you if you need,” said Tom.
“Thank you, Mr. Dupain,” said Kagami as she smiled at him.
“Please, just call us Sabine and Tom,” said Sabine. A few minutes later the three teens had gone up to Marinette’s room.
“Your parents are the best, Mari,” said Adrien as he sat on one of the chairs at the desk.
“Yeah, but they can be a little much sometimes,” said Marinette.
“How so?” asked Kagami.
“When I came back from your place we sat down for dinner and I confessed to dating you and Adrien,” said Marinette.
“They accepted it and then told me that we had just better be safe because they know teens can get caught up in the moment,” she said.
“Wow,” said a surprised Kagami.
“Nathalie and my father gave me a box of condoms,” said Adrien who was blushing as he admitted this.
“I can only hope that my mother will be as accepting when I tell her,” said Kagami.
“When will she get back from Japan?” asked Marinette.
“Tomorrow,” said Kagami.
“We can come over and be your emotional support,” said Marinette, to which Adrien gave a smile in agreement.
“Thanks,” said Kagami as she returned the smile before kissing Marinette then Adrien.
