Chapter 0: Prologue
12, August 8032 AD, 8:15 (Early Morning)
"New" Homeworld, Carnelian's plaza
Onyx is sleeping peacefully...but then his alarm clock rang. He rudely mumbled to himself. He hit the end of the table and alarm clock fell to the floor and broke it down. Onyx got up from his bed and sighed desperately.
"Best decision to start a day." he mumbled again.
Then he threw the alarm clock in the trash and shook his hands from the dust. he walked over to the closet and opened the closet door.
He looked at options for military uniforms. They are all the same...the old Imperial eagle and black Imperial uniform. Onyx without any problems, put on his military uniform and left his small apartment. In the first case, he came across his neighbor who reads the news at the window.
"Hey neighbor, how is our Republic?" Onyx asks him with a grin.
"Ah, Onyx. I see that you get up early." Gemdler class Gemirian says calmly to him.
"Yeeeah...That human "junk" scared me." Onyx chuckles
Gemirian narrows his eyes "Hm...I see," He checks his paper "Anyway: Nothing happened seriously on this weekend."
"Okay, see you later then." Onyx waves
"You too, Onyx."
Onyx sneezed in response and walked out the door. He then walking about five minutes and stopped when he reached the Carnelian's memorial statue where the crowd is standing near it. Onyx approached to the soldier who is guarding the statue.
A soldier salutes him "Sergeant Onyx. Its pleasure to see you."
"What's with the crowd?" Onyx asks her
"You don't know? Today it the anniversary of Emperor Carnelian's death. It's been 6010 years since he died." The soldier tells the story.
"That explains the crowd," Onyx whispers to himself
Onyx observes the surrounding until he noticed old Diamond who is sitting on the bench while having an evil grin on her face. Onyx smiled knowing that who it might be.
Onyx approached to her and brightly smiled. "Yellow Diamond...what an unexpected surprise to see you here."
Yep...a good old Yellow Diamond. The one who oppressed helped legendary Steven Universe to defeat Carnelian. But today...she is different. From ruthless Diamond into old and weak Diamond she becomes.
"What? If I'm a Yellow Diamond so that means I can sit in the temple of Diamonds and wait for my death? Nahhh...I can do what I want, even if your father is Red Diamond." Yellow hisses at him. She is totally annoyed right know
"Jeez...Relax Yellow, It just unexpected to see you sitting near the statue of your old enemy." Onyx points with his thumb to the marble statue.
Yellow chuckled "Actually. I find it funny that they mourning him. It makes me happy."
Onyx crossed his arm "How?"
Yellow Diamond smirked. "Watch..."
Then she grabbed her cane and stand up from the bench.
"Hey, Obsidian!"
Obsidian turns around in distance "What?" He said with a raspy voice.
"Want another fact?" She asks sarcastically
Obsidian remained silent.
"Well, guess what? I helped Steven Universe to defeat your Emperor. We both watched as we blew up the Kinderplanet!"
"I-don't-care-even-he-was-Golden-Diamond." Obsidian made pauses on every word.
"And after that. He proposed me to marry him! I'm gladly accepted that"
"I-...wait what?" Obsidian cringed when he heard that.
"You heard me. He ripped my clothes and started doing mating ritual!" Yellow apparently jokes
"Eww!" Obsidian scowled.
Onyx blushed very hard. Yellow Diamond noticed it and started laughing. "It just a prank, buddy," She said to Obsidian and Onyx.
"I HATE YOU SO MUCH, YELLOW!" The old Advisor screamed at her for making him in an awkward moment.
Then she sits down on the bench while still having small giggles.
"You can't be serious, Yellow. Why are you mocking the old ex-Advisor? I heard that he witnessed the Rise and the Fall of Gemirian Empire" Onyx asks her with "are you serious" face.
"Of course I'm not serious." Yellow pats him weakly "Last weekend. Obsidian was annoyed by my story of Second Gem War and how I was involved in there.
"The time Steven Universe was alive? Onyx asks her, hoping he is right.
Yellow Diamond nods to him
"How was he like?" Onyx clapped his hand together "by personality I mean"
Yellow Diamond made weak smile "He was a total sweetheart. Can't believed that I easily fell on him. Even one hour of our encounter passed, I already loved him" Old Diamond blushes
"It's considered to be pedophilia to have a relationship with him, isn't it?" Onyx asks with disbelief.
Yellow shrugs her shoulders "Not really. For a human...you considered as an adult, after you reached 18. For a Gem...When you hit 1000 years old, then you can consider as adult Gem. Steven was about 69 years old when the New Gemirian Republic defeated the Gemirian Empire. It's not a pedophilia when a male human has a relationship with female Gem."
"I don't know human's relationship that much, but I know that having a romantic rectangle could be bad." Onyx points out logical thing.
"True. But he was not a human...he was a Gem...just like us. The entire Homeworld accepted him as one of them" She tells him how Homeworld greeted Steven as hero.
"But-"
She shushed him "If you can control Gemstone...then you are Gem. He really questioned his homeland. But in the end: He chose to be with us"
"This is a philosophical statement," Onyx comments
Yellow smiles at him "True."
Then Onyx looked his Gem-Boy. It's already 9.15 Am "I gotta go. Some business I need to attend with Red Diamond."
"Good luck." Yellow waves slightly.
Onyx quickly stood up from the bench and starts running to the Tower of Diamonds.
Some time later
Homeworld, Tower of Diamonds
"How many times do I need to tell you, Ellysar! I won't cooperate with Earth's Federation Union after they done to one of our colonies. Red Diamond hisses.
"I understand your frustration Red. But think about it: A new wealth, territories, and resources." The Emperor of Ellysians comments
"No! Golden Diamond promised to Equestrian Empire that we will keep a good relationship with them. I won't betray them because of you. We both suffered as we lost a war with humans." Red Diamond points out.
"Fine then. Ellysian Empire will not attack Equestrian Empire but as for EFU...I don't know about them. Bur remember Red. If you or EFU will declare a war each other then Ellysia won't participate with it."
"I understand." Red Diamond nods
"Good. Ellysar out." He then cut a transmission.
Red sighed in depression."They think that humans can play games with us?"
"They think that humans are now dominated the galaxy." Red Pearl comments
"Funny thing." Red Diamond whispers
Their thoughts interrupted when Onyx entered the room. Red Diamond stood up from his chair.
"Hello son, now do you know why I send you too early to me?" Red Diamond asks him harshly
Onyx shrugs his shoulders "No."
Then Red Diamond walked over to his desk and opened a box which lies on the table. He pulled a book out of the box...that same book he read last time.
"I want to continue telling Steven's life after he was arrested by his own grandfather."
"Finally...I waited for a full year to hear another story." Onyx clapped his hands in joy.
"Then today...is your lucky day. I don't have any work today so I can read it you." Now take a sit on the couch and I will start the story."
Both Onyx and Red Pearl sat on the couch while Red Diamond sat on the chair. He then flipped some pages and stopped when he find the correct chapter.
"Then let's begin our story." He clears his throat " Episode II takes ten years after the last one."
