(SD92: Could it be.....another triple update day? Indeedie do . You know I’ve pretty much always done this since I first started posting fanfics but I realize now it’s mostly unnecessary to write the chapter number. I do this out of habit no one has ever said anything about it though heh.)

Eleven
Vlad’s POV

I sat in the tub with my knees pulled up to my chest staring at the water, I knew I should talk to Daniel about my concerns but I can’t ask for anything more than he is giving me now. I rested my head on my knees, not that it matters he saw everything that bastard did to me what would he want me for anyways?

Normal POV

Vlad and Danny ate dinner in silence he looked at his older mate and sighed Vlad looked up.

“You know if you need to talk I’m here for you.”

Vlad swallowed the lump before sipping on his wine.

“Next week when you’re strong enough I’ll show you what work you can do, I saw your grades and I think you are more than qualified for several roles in my company.”

Choosing to ignore the compliment Danny got up and walked over to Vlad he bent to press his lips against his, Vlad arched as Danny’s gentle touch reminded him of the obvious difference between James and his actual mate. He pulled away and looked in Vlad’s eyes.

“Okay, but when you’re ready to talk let me know.”

Vlad blushed as he watched Danny gather the dishes, he shook his head and followed him into the kitchen.

“Danny stop you just got home, I shouldn’t have even let you cook, let me do the dishes.”

“I’m fine Vlad.”

He sighed.

“I’m also way more stubborn than you are.”

Vlad smiled slightly.

After the dishes Danny took a shower then joined Vlad in the bed so they could watch a movie, Vlad was resting his head on his chest his arm was resting over his stomach. Danny stroked his hair he started to feel the exhaustion he had tried to ignore while Danny was in the hospital. He felt mostly at ease against Danny. He closed his eyes allowing himself to rest a little, despite the inner turmoil he was feeling he was still at ease against him. Vlad started to doze off.

‘You shouldn’t fall asleep with me if you love me, don’t make me say it again.’

Vlad’s eyes opened and he sat up and looked around, Danny touched his back.

“Are you okay?”

“I.....I’m fine.”

Danny sat up.

“Why are you shaking?”

Vlad shook his head and leaned against Danny who held him close trying to calm his nerves.

The next morning

Vlad woke up to Danny shaking his shoulder he opened his eyes.

“...Huh....”

“I need to go to the bathroom.”

“Okay....”

He closed his eyes again and Danny shook his shoulder again, in reality he could phase through but he knew Vlad had a meeting today and he had to be awake for it anyways. He rolled his eyes.

“You’re late for a meeting.”

As he thought Vlad jumped up and looked at him.

“You’re obsessed love.”

Vlad’s eyes widened as he kissed his cheek and got up to go in the bathroom.

Vlad’s POV

He didn’t mean it like that Vlad, it was a simple term of endearment I looked down and touched my stomach absently but I know he loves you....or he wouldn’t be here. Once you’re here, I hope he stays.

“Something wrong?”

I looked up startled as he walked in the kitchen.

“....Um...nothing.”

“Want to talk about ‘nothing’?”

“Why do you always assume I’m lying to you?”

“Because you’re aura changes when you do.”

I bit my lip, dammit I sighed.

“I just don’t want to talk about anything right now.......please.”

He smiled then.

“That’s a start, I’m not going to rush you hurry and eat.”

“Yes mother, is there anything else I need to do?”

“Wash behind your ears, don’t talk to strangers and say hi to Jenny for me, such a nice girl why don’t you settle down?” he said in mock high pitch voice.

Despite everything I laughed he smiled wider I stopped when he came over and gave me one of those soul shattering kisses that while cliché, can not be described as anything else. I found myself resting against him wishing he would deepen the kiss, hold like I wanted and give me a reason to skip the damn meeting it wasn’t like they needed me there for this one anyways. He seemed to sense my desperation and slipped his tongue in my mouth as he wrapped his arms around me. Something in me told me I shouldn’t be silly, you just don’t kiss and hold someone like this that you have no feelings for.

Just when I was ready to give him everything he wanted he pulled back I was breathing heavy his eyes remained closed and he took a breath before he opened them.

“You have to go to work.”

“You told me not to push myself.”

“And yet you would never speak to me again if I didn’t make you go, and you know it damn workaholic.”

I sighed, he was reading me again.

“That’s a bit exaggerated Daniel....I’d talk to you over breakfast a couple times a month.”

He smirked and kissed my forehead.

“Go on I set your briefcase in the car.”

Unwillingly, and fighting myself over it I pulled away from him and told him I would see him later.

Normal POV

A few hours later

Danny was lazing around his body still felt a little heavy, a side effect of the medicine and though he wouldn’t say anything to Vlad moving too much made him ache. He was looking at the information on the various fields in Vlad’s company, he had trusted people handling the basic work a mayor should have. By trusted, that meant they had been screen by Clockwork who had owed Vlad a favor after losing a poker game. He used some of his free time to focus on his company that sold electronics mainly but apparently more than that.

Danny had nothing but respect for him and felt bad for giving him such a hard time when his hands had been full with enough work. He sat up and moved to go to the bathroom.

“Danny.”

He stopped and looked around.

“Hello?”

“Danny I want to talk to you.”

He took his ghost form.

“I don’t know who you are but you better come out of hiding right now.”

“I’m not in hiding Danny, I’m upstairs.”

Danny took a breath, if this was a horror he would be screaming at the screen telling the stupid young person to avoid going near the voice. However this was his life and he was able to take care of himself. He walked upstairs and went looking through the rooms.

“Danny, I’m over here.”

He turned and walked in the guest room he had used a couple times, the voice was louder but he didn’t see anyone.

“Okay I’m here, what is it?”

He walked in and the door closed behind him he turned around and he stared at his visitor.

“Hey long time no see.”
