(SD92: In case anyone was wondering why he got found out so quickly you’ll see also I don’t know but it didn’t cross my mind until I watched My Shiny Teeth and Me(Don’t own) but has anyone noticed that if Danny was older he would look like Chip?(Don’t own). Also I just now realized I may have messed up the timeline or maybe I took a too long of a break from the story and I’m confusing myself so if it’s a little off it’ll only be for this chapter. Nine
Vlad’s POV

I was feeling more than a little depressed, to know that I had fallen for that little trick, and that I thought Danny was like that. Wherever he is he must be angry, or at least he will be when I tell him I have to figure out how to get him back. I whimpered, I was still feeling a little hurt because it wasn’t Danny who said he loved me. He probably never would after this. I shook my head this was no time to be laying around wallowing in depression. I laid back and looked at him.

“Daniel....”

“Vlad.....”

I cocked my head.

“Little badger?”

“Vlad can you actually hear me?!”

“Of course I can.”

“I need your help I can’t get control of my body, James is controlling it.”

“James....”

James opened his eyes and I stopped talking he frowned and rubbed his head.

“What the hell are you doing up right now? Shut your damn mouth I have a headache.”

I nodded, I was wondering how he even got control of Daniel’s body but I could wait to find that out later, for now I had something more important to figure out.

Normal POV

The next afternoon Vlad looked up from where he was working he felt a shiver run up his spine, he got up and walked out of his office he looked over at the couch where James was sleeping. He was glowing a light green.

“Plasmius the time is coming.”

He turned around to look at Clockwork.

“Time?”

“Even though James was strong enough to take over Danny’s body he’s a lot weaker than he is, he can’t hold on permanently. The hold is weakening, at midnight it will be completely broken and you’ll have to get rid of him he will be at his weakest.”

“How can I?”

“You have to kill him while he’s still inside of Danny, it’s hard to kill a free roaming spirit but attached to anything at all is enough to get rid of them.”

Vlad chewed on his lip.

“....I’m guessing you can’t do that on your own?”

“Of course not.”

“I know what we can do.”

Vlad’s POV

Throughout the day James had started glowing a darker and darker shade of green I was growing nervous I knew we wouldn’t harm Daniel but it was still hard. I didn’t want to hurt him......I chewed on my lip as I scrubbed the plates clean. I couldn’t hurt the.....the man I was in love with. I shook my head and stared down at the soapy water oh fuck me I couldn’t be in love with him. He’s not that interested in me.

I didn’t look up knowing who was behind me invisible.

“Go on Plasmius.”

I bent down and grabbed my empty suitcase Clockwork said no matter how he was brought into this world it was risky “killing” anyone in a house, especially as close to the ghost zone as Vlad’s house was. James had been all over this house he could easily attach himself to anything to recover and start all this crap all over again. Clockwork wanted to get him riled up so we could get him outside.

“Daniel?” I called.

“What?” James answered.

“I’m leaving you.”

I walked outside in the brief moment that James was startled he ran after me of course, I kept walking past my car though I wasn’t so strong after the time with James but I wouldn’t slow down no matter how weak my body felt.

“Come back here Vlad, you’ll never find someone like me you know!”

Ignoring him I kept walking there was a certain point Clockwork had marked so even if James ran he would weaken the rest of the way before he could reach the house again. I walked into the forest and heard him yelling profanities at me. I walked in-between the trees and stepped over the rocks.

I stopped when I didn’t hear him yelling anymore, I turned around and looked for him a tree fell next to me I jumped out of the way and saw him step on the remaining stump. I dropped the case he was smiling and held a chainsaw in his hands he stroked the machine.

“You know like a lot of men I love power tools, this little baby here has a wonderful silencer, even if your prissy neighbors go to the golf course they won’t hear a thing. So, you want to leave? You have a head start.”

He turned it on and grinned sadistically I stepped back, he tapped on his wrist pointing out an imaginary watch. I backed up then swiveled around and ran off I wasn’t running long before I felt a sharp zap in my back. I tripped and fell on the ground, I turned to look at him he was about to raise the chainsaw when he arched and threw it behind him. Clockwork became visible, James turned around and I could see he was reaching inside of him no doubt to hold him in place.

“Plasmius move it!”

I crawled out of the way and to the safety of a large boulder just as a tree fell landing right on top of James. I screamed of course watching Danny’s body being crushed I covered my eyes.

“.....Oh Danny.......”

Normal POV

Vlad watched the tree roll over Clockwork carefully yanked the black soul out of Danny’s body it was slowly fading away. Danny’s body was glowing blue and was a little scratched but it didn’t look too bad, Clockwork crossed his arms seeing the startled look on Vlad’s face.

“What? I promised I wouldn’t hurt him.”

Vlad swallowed as he trapped the remainder of James’s soul in a odd shaped container.

“A tree fell on his human body.....” Vlad gasped out.

“Don’t doubt my ghost powers Plasmius, I merely took over while James was startled and covered Danny’s body in a nice ghost goo.”

“But.”

“Let me finish, when James was bashed in the head and taken care of the goo fixed the physical damage, I can explain this until I’m blue in the face but ghosts even halflings are durable and can go through a lot. Don’t over think it just thank me and take Danny to a hospital check his head.”

Vlad looked over at Danny’s body that was glowing green then took a breath.

“Thanks.....”

Clockwork smirked a little and faded, Vlad pushed himself up and walked over, he ran a hand over Danny’s body that would be a mess if it wasn’t for the fact that he wasn’t an ordinary human. He could feel his ribs shifted as they healed at a fast pace. Why couldn’t he just say that if he worked fast enough the goo with his powers would save Danny’s life and body? Fucking bastard and his fucking round a bout way of speaking. He bent over and picked Danny up carefully, he smiled softly in his sleep. Vlad kissed his forehead.

“You’re a lot stronger than I am, little badger.”

The start of the internship...

Danny shifted in his sleep, his body felt like lead, he opened his eyes and stared at the white ceiling. The room was blurry of course he had taken a massive hit to the back of the head but he didn’t really know that.

“Danny?”

He turned his blurred gaze to the side of the bed where a young girl was staring at him he blinked a few times and she started to come into focus. It was Dani in her human form.

“....Hey....what happened?” was what he thought he said but she cocked her head not understanding.

“Take a minute Danny I’ll go get the doctor.”

He mumbled something after her and closed his eyes again, when the doctor came back he fumbled with the IV and Danny’s eyes opened again. Morphine, nice, very nice.

Danny looked at the older man, he had short salt and pepper hair, dark brown eyes, and tan wrinkly skin.

“Hello Daniel you’re quite a lucky man, can you repeat your name for me?”

“Daniel Fenton.....”

“Good good the medicine is working, we mixed a couple things in with the Morphine, can you tell me your mother’s name?”

“Madeline Fenton....”

“Okay and when you came in you seemed okay but of course your boyfriend said you had fallen off a cliff and we went right to work, can you tell me your eye color?”

“Green....no......blue.....”

“Excellent, you had a few broken ribs, some damage to your head along with some minor cuts and bruises but as you can see like I said .......you’re a very lucky man.”

“Just a few sentences ago....”

“Fantastic, he’ll be fine you’re brother has a very thick skull little miss.”

She grinned.

“Oh yes mom and dad are very proud of him.” she said with a laugh.

He walked out and called for a nurse.

“Dani what happened?” he asked quietly.

“James was trying to kill Vlad and Clockwork helped get him out of your body.”

He groaned.

“Ugh....right....where is Vlad? Is he okay?”

“He’s fine....well sort of fine.”

“What do you mean?”

“Calm down he’s not physically injured but he’s been worried sick about you, and without being terrorized he’s had time to think and we both know Vlad is not the type of person that should just sit and think. He’s been burying himself in paperwork.”

“Oh wait the internship.....”

“Again, Danny calm down, Vlad wouldn’t let you come to work today anyways.”

Danny sighed, the nurse came in to run a few tests and Dani moved out of the way.

‘So what happened to James?’ he asked mentally.

She ran her thumb across her throat then smiled, he wondered if it was possible for anyone aside from her to make such a sadistic looking motion look so........well.....cute.

Later that evening

Danny was looking at the hospital menu when Vlad came in he was quiet when he sat on the chair next to the bed. All day Danny had a few random visitors, his parents had stopped by for a few hours while they were still here Jazz and Nicolas came by only he and Nicolas knew what the thumbs up was that came from Nicolas. The obstacle between him and his mate had been removed, that was a reason to celebrate after all. Danny looked at Vlad he looked really tired.

“Don’t a get a hug?” he said, clearly surprising his new visitor.

Vlad looked uncomfortable.

“I don’t want to hurt you.”

“You’re not going to hurt me, I’m not fragile.....a little drugged and weary from whatever the hell they gave me for my head but not fragile.”

“It’s something from Clockwork it’ll help you heal a lot quicker.”

Danny set the menu down and moved his arms for a hug he could feel the distress radiating off of Vlad he was blaming himself for the accident obviously. There was something else though, Danny could feel it as he wrapped his arms around Vlad.

“Dani said you’ve been over working yourself, stop that, you know this isn’t your fault.”

“Yes it is....if I had just had the sense to leave James a long time ago none of this would have happened.”

“Are you kidding? That nut was insane he would have come after you anyways, mind telling me what else is going on?”

“What do you mean?”

“What else is bothering you I feel like you’re keeping something from me.”

“He isn’t really.”

They looked up at Clockwork.

“What is that suppose to mean?” Vlad asked.

“Didn’t you hear what I said to James when you were locked away?”

“Um not really.”

Clockwork crossed his arms as he repeated what he said Vlad paled and Danny laughed nervously as he passed out.They were going to be parents.

To think they weren’t even an official couple yet.

Lovely.
