Ben stared at the defeated enemy. He then rolled over to see Gwen and Kevin bleeding and unconsious. He began pulling himself towards them leaving a trail of blood behind him. His right side was bleeding as was his head, nose , and mouth. His left leg was bloody and he couldn't move it. He was sure his right arm was broken as well. He pulled himself along until he reached them. Both were bleeding. He threw his right arm around Gwen and grabbed Kevin's sleeve then passed out.
Plumbers rushed to them as Osmosions watched and talked among themselves.
Gwen had been hospiltalized for two days while the Anodite Healer worked on her then was given the all clear. She sat between Kevin and Ben's bed for them on out. It took a week for Kevin to recover from his injuries and insaneness thanks to another Anodite Healer. He stayed with Gwen next to Ben's bed as a third Anodite Healer worked on him. Gwen and Kevin talked about a lot over the next two weeks waiting for Ben to wake from his coma. One thing they talked about was there short relationship and how Kevin felt about Ben and how terrible he felt for leading Gwen on. Gwen wasn't mad or angry and said it was about time and he'd better do something about it.
Neither saw Max, Fran, Natalie, Carl, and Sandra Tennyson at the entrance to the tent or Kevin's mother and Plumber Devin Levin.
Ben moaned just as they finished their conversation.
"BEN!" Gwen and Kevin were up and on either side of him. "Ben!"
Ben moaned and forced his eyes open. He saw a pretty red haired girl and a really hot black haired guy standing over him.
"Ben?" the girl asked.
"Who?" Ben asked in a rough voice.
"Don't do that." Gwen begged. "This isn't time to be playing games, Ben."
"I'm not playing." Ben blinked at her. "I don't know Ben."
"You're Ben." Kevin informed. "Your name is Ben Tennyson. You're 16 years old and from Earth."
"oh." Ben said, the red haired girl was crying and he felt bad. He reached up and wiped her eyes. "Who are you?"
"I'm your cousin." Gwen said, smiling at him. "Gwen Tennyson. I'm 16 years old as well."
"I'm Kevin Levin." Kevin informed. "I'm 17. "
Ben blinked up at Kevin and blushed a bit. Kevin was really hot.
"What are you to me?" Ben asked.
"Er......" Kevin said, rubbing the back of his head.
He was saved from answering as family flooded the tent. Ben was soon confused and overwhelmed. He didn't know any of these people. His family or he couldn't remember them at least. He was finally left to relax. He fell asleep again noting that Gwen and Kevin weren't leaving him. When he woke up again he was given food to eat. He ate it.
"Oh, wow." Gwen said, pushing hers around.
"What?" Ben asked.
"She means you don't normally eat Alien food." Kevin explained.
"This isn't bad at all." Ben informed.
"Yeah, I agree." Kevin said, eating. "Maybe that's do to my Osmosion half though."
They were outside around a fire eating so people heard. Several people laughed or giggled.
Gwen took a few bites.
"This is good." She said, shocked. "Mmm."
"You'll get released twice as fast if you actually eat." Devin said, walking up and putting wood on the fire. "Max said you wouldn't leave your cousin but you haven't been cleared for release yourself because you haven't been eating, Plumber Tennyson."
Gwen blushed.
"Neither of them hold much with Alien food." Kevin shrugged.
"Is this Earth where I live?" Ben wondered looking around.
"No." Kevin informed. "This is the Osmosion home planet. An Alien planet. We came here for work."
"You said you're Osmosion?"
"Half." Kevin corrected Ben. " On my dad's side. My mom is human and Earthling. I live on Earth and this is my first time here."
Ben nodded taking in the information. Gwen and Kevin began answering all his questions as they ate. Gwen finished first but Ben and Kevin asked for seconds the natives happily supplied it. Ben's head was soon reeling. Aliens, Plumbers, heroes? Wow, he lived an exciting life it sounded like and yet he couldn't remember any of it and he couldn't understand why.
Suddenly, Ben's Omnitrix began beeping rapidly.
"There it goes again." Max told the small grey alien he was setting down. "It's been doing that for three weeks."
"This is Azmuth he made the Omnitrix and is our friend." Gwen said, quickly.
Ben nodded.
"This isn't one of the normal alerts." Azmuth informed. "This is an alert to locate the mythical Guardians if they really exsisted."
"So they exist." Kevin said, tipping a bowl back and emptying the contents into his mouth.
"Don't tell me." Gwen sighed as Azmuth worked with the watch. "We're the Guardians?"
A light shot out of the watch and hit Gwen and Kevin while Ben's glew. Ben's watch turned green and black. A watch formed on Kevin's wrist it was black and green, another formed on Gwen's wrist it was purple like her power.
"Of course." she sighed.
Ben was beyond confused.
A week later they were back on Earth and Kevin was picking Ben up from school. Ben slid into the passenger seat. They drove awhile in silence.
"Gwen told me that you're my boyfriend." Ben finally said.
Kevin tensed and cursed Gwen mentally.
"Why didn't you tell me? Did you want to break up or something?"
"No." Kevin said, instantly. "Nothing like that. We havn't been together long. " he tried to think fast. "We only talked about going out actually. We were just talking about it. We never actually agreed and I didn't want to confuse you more by saying we were dating when we weren't. "
"Oh." Ben said, nodding. "So we never like kissed or anything?"
"No." Kevin answered, his heart pounding.
"A girl at school said she was my girlfriend." Ben told Kevin. "I told her that I didn't know her that I didn't remember.......she kissed me......."
Kevin clenched the steering wheel tightly and Ben noticed.
"That's probably Julie." Kevin informed. "She broke up with you three months ago. She's apparently having second thoughts."
Ben nodded he wondered where they were going. Kevin stopped and got them smoothies then they were driving around again.
