Felix's fall from the front door of King Candy's castle had been short but terrifying. He'd never been fond of dampness or the dark, and the Fungeon was both. Magical restraints had wriggled out of the walls like iron snakes, locking snugly around both wrists, both ankles, and his throat. A pair of red candy vines popped up from hatches on the floor and divested him of his belt and hammer before he could even reach for it; they left it hanging on some hooks set in the wall by the door, glinting at him in the dim light. Trying to use it would be a futile gesture, Felix knew – his hammer wasn't coded to destroy, but to fix or fortify – using it on his chains would have simply made them thicker. Sighing, he sat on the floor to wait. Sour Bill might be in charge for the moment, but King Candy was due back at some point – and he would definitely have questions about Ralph.
Some time later, the door to his cell banged open and a short man with a big head flounced in. His manner was far from regal, but his clothes and crown made his status clear. Slamming the door behind him, the little man bounded up to him.

“Well! I see that the big orange smelly guy isn't the only refugee from another game hiding out in my kingdom! What do you have to say for yourself, hrmm?”

His voice was bizarrely pitched, fluctuating from a high feminine drawl to a low growl. It was odd, and off-putting. Felix swallowed, trying to control his initial reaction to shrink away. Now was not the time to show cowardice. He reached up, chains clinking, and took off his hat in a gesture of politeness to the kingdom's ruler.
“Sir, I am Fix-It Felix Junior, from the game Fix-It Felix Jr., and I'm just here to find my buddy Ralph. He's gone missing from our game, and other characters said they saw him head into your kingdom. I'm just looking to find him and take him back home, and then we'll be, uh, out of your hair...” Felix trailed off, watching the king's face.
The man's pupils had dilated dramatically as soon as Felix spoke, although he seemed to be looking through Felix, not at him, and he leaned in uncomfortably close. Felix couldn't help but lean back a bit as the man invaded his space, bending so close he could smell the strange, sweet odor the king had.

Not sure what else to say, Felix timidly said, “I, uh, I don't suppose you've seen him?”
The king exploded, screaming right into Felix's ear.

“SEEN him? Have I SEEN him?! That monster has caused irrepairable damage to my entire kingdom, sent my subjects into a panic, delayed our daily race – oh, I have SEEN him! I have SEEN what kind of damage people from your game can cause!”

Felix jerked back, as far away as his chains would let him, the collar around his throat pulling him up short. The king covered the short distance between them in an instant. Wrapping both fists around the collar and shaking Felix back and forth inside it, the king yelled straight into Felix's face.

“He is helping a glitch, putting our entire game – our very CODE – at risk! Your 'buddy' is putting us all in danger of being unplugged! And I'm not going to let you do the same!”
Felix's chains rattled as he dropped his hat and raised his hands in front of him to protect himself from the verbal onslaught.

“I'm sorry! I'm sorry, sir! I promise, I had no idea! I'm just trying to get Ralph home, to talk some sense into him! I'm – I'm just scared he's gone Turbo!”

He flinched, shutting his eyes, expecting another barrage of shouting...but the king dropped his collar and backed away. Felix peeked below his raised arms to see the king pop his head out of the open dungeon door; he caught a whisper of conversation, and heard faint steps as the king sent the dungeon guard away. The king walked slowly back into the room and shut the door behind him, locking it with a gesture. Eyes hooded and hands behind his back, the king stalked slowly up to Felix.
“You think he's gone Turbo?” he said, in a low voice. Felix's senses snapped to attention in fear. That was not the same all-over-the-map voice he'd heard a minute ago. This was all growl and no falsetto...that could not be good.

“I think he might be … thinking about it, sir, but I'm sure I can talk him down. I just need to talk to him, I promise, I'm not here to cause trouble - “ Felix stopped abruptly in midsentence as the king looked up at him, maintaining eye contact for the first time since he walked through the door.

“We wouldn't want anyone to go Turbo,” the king ground out, pinning Felix with an unblinking stare. “We all know what happened to Turbo, don't we, Felix?”
Felix could not look away, could not turn, frozen in place as the king got closer and closer. The king smiled broadly, wider than his face should allow, and his head flickered and pixellated as his teeth slowly turned the same color as his sclera. He reached up with one hand and tugged at the high ornate collar, but instead of the collar coming loose, his whole body shifted and changed, leaving a short, rangy body in a stained white racing suit and helmet. The figure pulled off its helmet, revealing a white-skinned bulbous head and yellow eyes rimmed in black.
“T-T-TURBO?!” Felix screamed in terror, shoving backwards against his chains with all his might. He had to get out of there, he had to jump, he had to break the chains – anything to get away from this nightmare come true.
Turbo laughed, an ugly sound.

“Yes, it's me, little Felix. How lovely to see that my reputation precedes me.” He reached toward Felix, who flinched, expecting to be hit, but he simply stroked his hand gently down Felix's front, from the collar of his blue shirt to the crotch of his jeans. Felix held as still as possible, then looked down in amazement and fear as his clothes pixellated at the rogue character's touch, falling away from him and disappearing. He was suddenly naked, save for his boots. Shocked, Felix simply stared down at himself for a second, mouth agape … and then shot both hands to his crotch, covering himself. Turbo smiled lazily, displaying his sharp yellowed teeth, and gestured at the chains binding Felix, which retracted into the walls link by link until Felix hung spreadeagle in midair.
His boots dangled inches from the floor, but no amount of squirming or pulling found slack in the iron grip – he couldn't even cross his legs. He sagged, defeated. He was helpless in front of Turbo's power over the code of Sugar Rush.
“Don't you see, little Felix?” Turbo asked, stroking Felix's cheek. “I can't let you, or Ralph, help that glitch in my game. I've found my new niche – and I won't be ousted twice. I'll take down my game AND yours if I have to. So tell me, my miniature hero...where is your villain?”

“I – I don't know! I came here hoping you would know!” Felix protested.

“You don't know? Somehow I have trouble believing that,” Turbo replied, his hand slipping down to rest at Felix's iron collar. Suddenly his hand flashed up, first slapping Felix soundly, then backhanding him hard.

Felix's head rocked back and his ears rang at the impact. No one had ever struck him – nobody except Calhoun, that was – and as he opened his mouth to yell in pain, a hard round object was shoved into his mouth, past his teeth. Something dug into the corners of his mouth as a strap tightened around the back of his head, and try as he could, all he could manage was a muffled grunt. His tongue pushed up against the object, and his mouth started to salivate of its own accord – it was candy. A thin line of drool tracked down his neck as he belatedly realized he couldn't swallow. Cold fingers brushed against the spittle and Felix cast around wildly for Turbo, who had moved behind him.
“Don't want to tell the truth? That's okay,” Turbo whispered greasily in his ear. “I can get your confession out of you in other ways.” A hand spidered across his chest, and Turbo shifted closer, his chest against Felix's back. The cold fingers, covered in Felix's own spit, descended down his spine, making Felix shiver. What was Turbo going to do to him? His question was answered quickly as Turbo's fingers slipped under his cheeks, resting just against the ring of muscle between them.
The chains rang out as Felix struggled uselessly, Turbo laughing in his ear.

“I haven't even started with you yet!” he growled gaily. “Stop struggling, or this is really going to hurt.” His fingers pressed hard into Felix's resisting hole, a clear threat; Felix froze. The fingers relaxed, then started gently probing, moving in small circles against him.

Felix watched in exhausted surprise as Turbo turned back into King Candy.

“See? Now, I was wrong – you didn't know anything about Ralph. You shouldn't even have been in the Fungeon in the first place. I'm going to fix that, Felix. I'm going to fix it so that you were in a holding cell this entire time. You never saw me, and you'll forget everything.” Felix flinched as Turbo raised the hammer.
“Goodbye, little Felix,” said Turbo as he tapped Felix with the hammer. The world went white.
Felix awoke in a jail cell. He sat up, brushing candy crumbs from his work shirt and jeans. Golly! How had he managed to nap at a time like this?
