Cloudchaser was known for speed. Within Ponyville, the purple-coated pegasus was second only to Rainbow Dash herself. Her shooting star Cutie Mark was the constant display of her speed, and most anypony who saw her in a race would agree that it suited her.
Today, in fact, she was flying up to Rainbow Dash's magnificent cloud palace to try for the hundredth time to wrest the title of fastest pegasus alive from her rival. it was a lovely day in mid-spring, which she took as the perfect opportunity. She landed on the clouds, and raised her hoof up to knock on the door. She waited half a minute before knocking again. This time, the door creaked open, revealing the somewhat anxious face of Rainbow Dash.
"Hey there, RD!" Cloudchaser greeted, using her affectionate nickname.
"Oh, hey, Cloudchaser. Why are you here, um, today?" Rainbow Dash asked, opening the door a bit wider.
"Well, it's a great day out, and iI know you're not busy, so I figured we could have a quick race. I'm gonna beat you this time, I just know it," Cloudchaser answered, grinning. Rainbow Dash smiled slightly, rolling her eyes.
"You know that's never going to happen, right?" she asked, stepping outside and flexing her wings. Cloudchaser was certain that she caught an odd scent as Rainbow passed by her, though she couldn't quite place it. Rainbow turned back to her, smirking. "So, how about we go with the usual bet, hm?"
"Oh? You're asking me for that bet?" Cloudchaser asked, surprised. She grinned even wider. "You're on, sexy. Two laps around the usual course."
The usual bet was, to put it simply, domination in their after-race sex. Rainbow Dash and Cloudchaser held an odd rivals-with-benefits relationship, considering that they both held fairly high sex drives and saw no issue with having fun with each other.
The two pegasi lined up at the edge of the cloud, and flexed their wings a few times. At an unheard signal, they took off at once. Cloudchaser took the early lead, flying a few feet ahead of Rainbow. They were both descending towards the ground slightly, headed towards the main town of Ponyville. They never went directly into it, though, instead flying along the rooftops. They kept to the farthest edges of town. This was their course: two laps around the edge of Ponyville.
By the time they were a quarter of the way around the first lap, Rainbow had caught up, and flew directly alongside Cloudchaser. Cloudchaser recieved a playful bump on the elbow before Rainbow soared ahead to first place. Cloudchaser growled, and pushed herself even harder to catch up again.
By the end of the first lap, as they reached Rainbow's cloud palace, it was clear that Cloudchaser was faring worse than ever. Rainbow noticed this, and laughed as she looked behind her. Then a thought struck her. Did she want to be first? Well, of course she wanted to win. She had a reputation to keep. But on the other hoof, she wasn't sure she actually wanted to dominate after winning - not in her condition. She was much more drawn to the idea of having Cloudchaser choose the speed. A slow, long, sensual afternoon, or maybe a quick, hard fuck... She was growing aroused just at the thought, and her decision was made quickly.
Cloudchaser grinned as she saw Rainbow's speed dropping gradually, thinking she was growing tired. Maybe her opponent hadn't had enough naptime yet. It hardly mattered to Cloudchaser. She took the lead again easily, soaring ahead of Rainbow. Rainbow mocked frustration and an attempt to catch up, but her false efforts were in vain.
By the end of the second lap, Cloudchaser was waiting by the front door of Cloudchaser's house, smirking at the cyan pegasus. Rainbow alighted beside her, panting.
"Good work..." she mumbled grumpily, though like the race and loss themselves, her upset attitude was a fraud.
"Well, let me know when you've stopped being so tired. I'm eager to be on top for once," Cloudchaser said, wrapping her hoof around Rainbow's head and walking her inside.
"Uh... right now is fine," Rainbow quickly answered.
"You sure you're not too tired?" Cloudchaser asked in a teasing voice.
"Don't make me beg for it. Come on," Rainbow pleaded, taking on a suddenly needing voice. It was at this moment that Cloudchaser was able to place the scent coming from Rainbow.
"Ah... oh, I see," she said. "You're in heat, aren't you?" Rainbow nodded slowly, not having wanted to admit what she considered a sign of weakness. "We'll just need to handle that little issue, then. To the bedroom?"
Rainbow eagerly followed Cloudchaser to her own bedroom. She was about to lay down on the bed, but was instead suddenly tackled by Cloudchaser. They landed on the bed, rolling a few times before Cloudchaser landed on top. Rainbow's eyes widened as a full-on kiss was initiated, but quickly relaxed into the position.
