Chapter 1: First experience

Somewhere in the outskirts of the city, the strange little comet hurled through the atmosphere. It sped through the skies as it landed in a creek flowing into a river. Within moments, a strange greenish glow could be seen coming from the crashed asteroid as the creek began to glow a little as it flowed into the river, spreading the same effect. As the contamination of the river progressed, the river continued to flow towards the city. This river happened to be the same river where the city gets their drinking water from. What health effects can such a problem cause?
