A good story but I have to harp on one thing: No such thing as 'god', it is an imaginary invention made up by people a long time ago to justify forcing other people to kowtow to their personal likes and dislikes.
Heady, heady stuff. The atmosphere is amazingly heavy, smoky, oppressive. I'm really impressed by how well, how deeply you've managed to portray the girls having these feelings. I'm not even into AUs, I picked this story up on a whim, and I generally do not like stories that are sad either. I know you've already warned softer fellows like me off in the author's notes, yet I still find myself reading. I'm just so hypnotized by how dramatic their emotional turmoil is. It's very beautiful work. Second chapter is even better. Tremendous imagery during the sex scene. I'd go as far as to say the descriptions feel almost biblical, which I suppose was the point. And a hell of an ending point for the chapter to boot. I'm plugged into the story for sure. Great job, AS. You really ought to be proud of this one.
Aaaand just got done with chapter 3. It was great and maintained the standard of the earlier two. Really breathless and tense and wonderful. Looking forward to more!
A good story but I really dislike the whole "Religious apologist" nonsense.
Yes, the world is chaotic. No, that does not mean that evolution is not the truth. No one ever said that evolution ITSELF was not chaotic and had 'winners and losers'.
