I only have one complaint.
Don't be afraid to use the character's names. It gets annoying when you keep refering to them as "The Arch Mage, etc."
Other than that, I really liked it. You're very talented!

An excellent concept, very well written! I especially liked the twist - while it wasn't a *shock* it was still well hidden enough to be a (un?)pleasant surprise.
