Reviews for Chance Encounters and Promises

    *Spoilers below!*

Hey I thought "Never Meant to Be" was amazing!, I've read it when you first put it out, then re-read it when it was finished. You made great characters and the romance between Brooklyn and Roberto was slow-paced and well thought of. Until "Chance encounters and promises" Not only did I find it gruesomely depressing, and it defeated the whole purpose of continuing this series. In the first story, you put so much thought and detail into Roberto and Brooklyn/Brody and their slow forming romance. Then in a small sequel Roberto's gone for two years, Brooklyn gone to the equivalents of 40 something years by some phoenix gate, he has a different mate and kids to boot. Then throw in a Puck/owen and Roberto pairing. I don't mean to shoot it down, just that I thought it was so rushed and angstsy, that I found little reason to read future stories to this sequel. I guess im just to much of a hopeless romantic for my own good o.o! I think what would have made a great sequel to Never meant to be would be that after Roberto is gone for say 6 months or whatever time period, Brooklyn lifts from his mourning and is replaced somewhat by an anger. So in desperation he has Owen/Puck cast perhaps the same or similar spell to change him to human during the day again and the drawback is either its permanent, and/or it reduces his years considerably, making him as mortal as Roberto. So he searches after Roberto, and throughout the story it narrates Brooklyn's life as a human (during the day) trying to find traces linking to Roberto and his "Undercover" mission. And what not, blah blah. Don't want to deter you what you really want to write, but just thought that I should give a few suggestions and what may or may not be a better way to end this story. I don't know, it just seemed to much like a pity...
