    Review of Part II:

Hey there, this will be a quick review since I just finished reading Part II for the first time. I'm sure over the coming days and weeks I'll read it many more times as I always find your fics enjoyable and relaxing. I like that Daria and Jane are getting out of Boston and for a good reason. I'm curious about the keyboardist they'll have in the Spiral. I'm really happy to hear that Amanda and Vince plan to a buy a different but adjoining property to the Lane compound. "Different" being the operative word. I'm rather hoping with all the travel she has done and with dual buns in the oven that maybe she'll open up a local artisan shop up on Dega St where she can sell her handcrafts and Vince can sell his photographs. Even Jane could have a nook in the shop that would allow her to save money for college life. I know they're the team leaders of the wandering lanes but if Amanda and Vince had an outlet to express themselves and one in which they could take the babies to work then maybe they'd only feel the need to travel say three months out of the year with regular three-to-four day weekends.

Yikes, I really rambled on there without much reviewing didn't i? I wanted to tell you how much I loved this story, the characters felt accurate and yet the changes in them are changes of the things that always made me want to growl in frustration--so I thank you ever so kindly for changing them mildly and yet incredibly well.

As for suggestions, I'd love to see a story where Daria passes out in a Dega St bookstore and Trent's in the neighborhood--buying guitar strings. Maybe he knows the reason for her fainting spell/maybe he doesn't...but it's up to him to decide whether or not he wants to rescue the easily embarrassed Daria from the shop floor and if he wants to pay for her books--maybe a new diary, a how to write songs book, and a book of guitar chords--and thusly let her know that he (now) knows she has a special interest in him or the Spiral.

Well, I'm pretty well spent so if I think of something better later I'll surely let you know. ... Long, rambling made short---I loved this follow-up chapter! I thought it wrapped things up very well and it just feels right. I know that must sound strange as a response to reading a piece of fiction but it's how it made me feel. I honestly feel like you do a phenomenal job of bringing the characters to life and fixing the quirks that on occasion made the show wince-able (especially the destruction/removal/discount-shelving of Tom Sloane). Don't get me wrong, I never hated Tom--hate takes a kind of passion I'm just not willing to spend, especially on Tom Sloane. But I hated the way his introduction to the show made them dumb down the Trent character and make Trent seem stupider. I also hated the way Tom made Jane and Daria act more than a little whacky. When all was said and done Tom just wasn't worth it and so I find it a lovely bonus that your stories turn Tom into a tiny little footnote to be cast to the bottom of the page and easily forgotten. Ok, so, I'm ranting again, feel free to delete this review if you wish. I didn't sleep well last night and as I write this I find my blood-sugar a bit low and my spirits a bit giddy. (Hence the rambling, and rambling, and well, rambling.)

    For the last time:
    Long, story, short:
    I loved this story.
I loved Trent's defense of Daria.
    I loved Trent's strength.
I loved Daria standing up to the (wo)man-Ms. Li.
I loved Daria spending the night at Trent's.
I loved the introduction of Daric and the dirrection the Spiral is going in.
I love that Jane is coming home.
I even love that Amanda and Vince are buying an adjoining property to raise their bebes.
I love that both Daria and Trent took Amanda saying "wait and see when you become a Lane..." or something to that effect, regarding Daria developing a wanderlust with a grain a sand. Neither freaked at the thought of Daria becoming a future Lane--and with the band on the road and her chosen profession of writer she and Trent could very easily do both: marry and travel.

*Smiles brightly (and rather hopefully,)* I do so hope this review was easily readable. I know it's mostly ideas until I get to the individual points at the bottom; sorry about that, I didn't mean to cause you any confusion, I just love your stories. I find them quite inspiring and most refreshing (when I'm frustrated reading one of more of your tales relaxes me right down to my tiptoes).

Well, take care, and keep writing,
and have a fabulous day, of course,

I'd love to see Daria take the state test to be finished with high school and hit to local JC as a mid-semester enrollee--I'd also like to see her move in with Trent. And while Jane (who was going to go to BFAC) in the winter enrolls with Daria and finds out that the art department has a few "rebel" professors that make her totally rethink BFAC. And I'd love to see Trent and Jesse enroll in some music classes and with help from Trent's parents and Daric get funding to turn the basement into a studio and start putting down tracks. I'd love to see them hit the road on holidays and weekends and as they improve and focus develop an indie following--even selling their CDs on a website Daria and Jane created for them (Daria doing the technical stuff and writing up bios and creating a forum and Jane doing the stellar artwork for the site and even the songs.) They could do a theme CD (about loving or their lives) and Jane's artwork could work with the song lyrics. Ultimately they could get booked for a big festival and get signed or even create their own small indie label.

    Well those are my ideas,
    laterz,
