Reviews for Honey, I shrunk the Avatar

Okay, I read this all in one sitting. Overall, I really liked this, but there are a couple stumbling points keeping me from going 'omfgEPIC' and totally gushing in this review.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE STORY AHEAD

    The cons:

-The format was quite a chore to read through. When you don't double-space between your paragraphs, it 1) makes your story look like a giant block of text (which it isn't) and consequently 2) makes it tough for the eyes to flow through. I found myself losing my place in the story when I scrolled downward at times.

-This is really minor, but a personal pet peeve of mine is using apostrophes to make singulars into plurals. You don't do it very often, but it happens, i.e. "Girl's" and not "Girls" when referring to the members of the Kyoshi Warriors.

-Poor Manny getting the redshirt treatment! Though it was quite visceral reading how her death made quite the impact on Katara.

-Suki near the end of part 4 seemed a tad OOC when she went all Red Lantern on Sokka (that is, before you-know-what happened and none of that counted anyway)

    The pros:

    -Yue's scenes with Tui.

-Your two major couples were very much in character. Katara and Aang went through quite the ordeal not unlike something out of Eternal Darkness and they pulled through in the end (heh, end). My inner fandom geek kept telling myself that bloodbending was only possible under a full moon, but the situation they were in allowed me to look passed that and just enjoy their messed-up journey.

-Sokka and Ty Lee being total bros up until Tui's interference. I loved their interactions and mutual confusion. When it came down to the brass tacks, Sokka and Ty Lee were great friends thrown into a foreign situation with only each other as anchors.

-The adventures of shrunken Toph and the Kyoshi warriors in the wilderness of Kyoshi. That entire story-arc was great survival-drama with a tinge of humor, coming-of-age, and a bit of grizzly darkness that wasn't just gore-for-gore's-sake. I felt you really fleshed out the character of the Warriors along the way, too.

-The love scenes in general are very well done. (Kataang frottage? Where they were? Done tastefully? Nice.)

-Speaking of the love scenes, it was great how all your couples got one in the Epilogue. It was a sweet reward for following them all through the wringers you put them through. They deserved it >:).

-For some reason, the VERY end felt like the beginning of Elfen Lied. That is a good thing. I guess that's a big hint at a 'To be continued'?
