Reviews for Two Cute for Two-Shoes

**Just a little disclaimer, I was the beta reader for this story. But the review is based on a fresh reading after a long break.**

This story is a very good example of how you can make a crossover story work and still be lots of fun! The first step, of course, is making sure everyone stays in character, and you handled that very well! Rarity was perfectly poised and utterly unflappable, even given such a bizarre twist of fate. Right away she was ready to help Heloise correct her various aesthetic faux pas, and when the time came her need to match make seemed perfectly natural.

Of course Jimmy and Beezy were spot on, and the way you described all their 'cartoony' effects gave me a chuckle. It was interesting reading that kind of spastic slapstick described so richly, rather than just watching it. And reading the story from Heloise's perspective was great...starting off with the kind of careless, psychopathic playfulness that got her sent to Hell...I mean Miseryville...in the first place, moving on to a kind of bored/scientific curiosity and finally the wholesale surrender as her critical weakness (Jimmy) came into the picture. ^_^

The sex scene was just lovingly described, and even though hetero isn't really my thing, even I had fun reading it. (That fact that it was from the Heloise's perspective definitely helped!) But the mood you evoked with the scene was perfect...Heloise needed to be in control, and she certainly was in control of *Jimmy*, but there was a certain uncertain, fumbling sweetness to her actions that revealed her to be not entirely in control of herself, or the situation. It was rather adorable, though I'm sure she'd flay me alive for describing her like that!

More than anything else though, as I said at the beginning, this was a prime example of a good crossover. The setting was wholly of one show, and in many ways the story could be right out of Jimmy Two-Shoes (naughty bits aside, of course!) But those who know both shows are rewarded by seeing Rarity enter the scene and shaking things up by being so perfectly...Rarity! And of course there's the added bonus of the inside joke of having Heloise and Rarity occupying the same space. ;) A good crossover should keep to the spirit of the sources proportionally, I think. In a story like this, where only one character crosses over into the other world, the spirit of that first world should remain intact, but the crossover character must also remain intact. And I think you struck that balance perfectly.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more from this continuity, if only for a chance for Heloise to act on her naughty little thoughts about Rarity's horn!
